Are you talking used or new boats? The prices I’ve seen/heard on a new 20′ lund would be very close to that of a 20′ skeeter. Either way, glass is the only way I’d go.

All comparisons are based off used boats

20ft Lund is only aluminum I’ve been looking at

Skeeter, Ranger and the occasional Lund are the only glass boats I’ve been looking at

Dutch was kind of on the same thought process as myself. Loaded 20ft Lund (kicker, talon, good electronics) for a tad more (and sometimes cheaper) then a 18ft glass boat with electronics only.

Matt did you mount Talon right to your Reata’s transom or did you use a sandwich plate?

I just went with a talon for my Reata.

    Thanks

I have actually devoted a ton of time chasing sm on Mille lacs this summer. I fish mainly Neko or tubes. I’ve lost on ton of fish from my knot/floro breaking. I’m currently using seagar 8lb leader, and using a palamur knot or shark knot (knot I seen Mark Zona recommend for floro on you tube) to attach my jig

I understand you can’t land every fish but I’m losing quit a few, so any help would be great

I was happy to see this thread. I too have been seriously contemplating upgrading the 2008 Ranger to a Defender.

I won a Calcutta soft cooler at a banquet and I am very happy with it. Now that I own one I would have a tough time going without it

We’ve been going to Procyks which is on two island lake. There is a small channel that connects two island and gull rock, so we fish about 80% of the time on gull rock. I fish for walleye but a couple buddies fish hard for pike. You can pm me for details

I have a seasonal site available in Waterville which is about 15 miles west from faribault. It’s on Lake Sakatah and lake Tetonka (the two lake are divided by a channel) Tetonka is a pretty good lake for the area. It’s just the lot so you would need a camper
    Pm me if interested

Hiawatha is very very nice and very kid friendly. They have a very nice swimming beach with trampoline, kayaks, and paddle boats. They usually have kids activities during the day and if the weather gets bad they have an indoor pool as well

They have boats or pontoons to rent, and depending on your choice of fishing, you can fish the weed lines in the bay around the resort and catch pike or just a short drive to main lake or even walker bay for eyes

Yeah that would be so original^^ roll

It’s a great show lets keep it that way, without becoming a watered down product pushing fishing show like 90% of fishing shows
