Fished the Mud Wed, Thurs and Friday. Caught well over 70 walleyes each day from 6am – 1pm and 7pm-10pm. Sizes were primarily 21-23 inches with our largest being 26.5″ and Several 24.75’s as well.

We were all on lindy rigs with leech and had to go very slow, .4-.6, depending on the wind (Double drift socks). When it was calm and could control the speed, we really hit them hard.

FFS was great to watch how long those fish follow your rigs and to keep us right on the subtle breaks that Lakemaster doesn’t even show.

I get a kick out of watching people think they can power cork or cast to fish with FFS. We would catch five fish while they were staring at their screens, drifting by with not a care in the world.

Hello, I have a 2017 Terrova with the US2 trolling motor transducer, would that be compatible with this?

    Thanks

I 100% agree, I was looking at the old globalmaps, which take my old SD lakemaster chip which in my opinion is spot on. Which is why I am using the Humminbird Fishsmart app as it is the same chart.

I am guessing these Gen-1 HDS probably would take them as well.

My Iphone has a typical horizontal accuracy of around 10 m. Which when you are wanting to get to a spot on the spot is pretty important.

With WAAS on my aviation GPS I get 1 meter accuracy.

So yes it is kinda a big deal.

I love the 18v Lithium Ryobi set from HD. I think i am trying to get all the different tools that they have for this set. The recharge rate is very fast and the power of the 18v Lithium is great. I also use it for my weed eater, chain saw, sanders, ect ect. I love that they have so many tools that work with the 18v system.

I will be down on the 19th this month for my wedding. We have 20 people going out on RedRum Charter on the 21st. Hope for good luck. Heard the fishing has not been that hot as of late.

One question I have to all of you great “deer minds” is he was a 8 pt last year and again a very nice 8 this year. Does that mean that he probably wont get to be a 10 or 12?? I assumed that as deer age they would get more points.

I will be down, expect to have our limit by 10am 8 guys.

Helps growing up there, and knowing all the landowners. Lots of birds to be had since all the corn is out.

I am 3 for 3 on getting great dogs from golden valley animal humane society, tons of labs wanting homes. My current dog hunter is wonderful. Save a life, and get a great friend for life.

Like most dogs the owner brings the great hunting out of the dog not the dog getting it out of the owner. Remember these things, not saying breeded dogs in general are no good just that lots of dogs need homes that are wonderful hunters.

Here is a pic of Hunter from last season,he is the black lab.

    Good luck on your search.

Best thing to do is when it asks for what you are calling about say cancel service or get into retention dept. they will bend over backwards to keep you as a client. I call in once a year to leave….and have free HBO Starz or Showtime all year and a discount on my bill. Just say you are going to dish network because they are offering Free HD and Free Recievers.

We did not even buy bait we were sticking with cranks, I could have tried GULP but I prefer real crawlers to start with. Thanks for the update.

I have an 1880 and have the 200hp HPDI with a T8 and single axle. I have to corner it into my garage so i am very happy with the single. It came with the hybrid hub system so I have 10 year hub guarantee. I could not be happier with my trailer except that i have a burnt out marker light. I am sure the twin rides better, but I am happy with my single.

    Thanks,
    Tony

Hi Chris, I have had mine out only 3 times but I did fish a 2 day tourney out of it and it was great.

Could you email or post some pics of where they mounted that big transducer. I think I am still having some interferance coming from my kicker or big motor. I have trimmed them up. I am not sure if the 898 is the same transducer as the 1197 but it still will help with ideas.

    Thanks,
    Tony

Thanks Roger for the link, I went through all the pics and they all are bass boats no wx1880, not quite the same hull and step that i am struggling with. Anyone else??

    Thanks,

Thanks for the article, we ended up 5th with 1 over fish. Had a couple amost touch 22 but not quite. Funny how some spots really held nice fish and others lots and lots of 11 inchers.

Thanks for the opinions, I got the 200 HPDI on the 2009 1880. It was cheaper than the F150 by almost $1000.00 because of some rebates. I am moving up from a 1989 Tyee so i look forward to hitting the water. My only worry now is the single axle trailer it is coming on.

I finally did find an 1880, it ended up being brand new 2009 but it had the 200 HPDI. Amazing the variance in price out there on these boats. I am excited to take delivery.

    2009 Skeeter 1880
    200 HPDI
    T8 Kicker
    Terrova with Ipilot
    Humminbird 1197c SI
    Trollmaster

Should be ready to go i hope….
