Favorite room in the house! I missed this post when I talked it up a bit on the deer forum. You have some space for a couple more

Every answer was correct. 60 lb limbs and a 27.5″ draw length with that cam. All of these bows seem so complex and intimidating at first glance. I have gained a little bit of knowledge by being an annoying pain in the rattling off questions anytime I am in the pro shop. It also helps to look at each component individually and identify its’ purpose.
January 31, 2014 at 11:42 pm #1352484I felt honored to be there Kooty! This area with all the mounts is technically a “breezeway” but it is also one of the best man-caves I have been in and your 2013 buck is a stud! Congrats again, I believe you are just getting started .
December 22, 2013 at 1:23 pm #1351815It is quiet out so far but it feels nice to have my bow back in my hand.
November 30, 2013 at 2:48 pm #1351413Those are some great deer buddy! It is so cool to have heard you think about putting together an outfitting business 3 short years ago to already making clients happy! Congratulations on your dandy buck, all of your happy clients and putting a plan together that actually came together. How late does the show me state keep bow season open?
November 30, 2013 at 2:11 pm #1351409I believe outside of the archery season (every season) and outside of areas with feeding bans it does not say it is illegal. I can not think of any reason why it would/should be?
November 30, 2013 at 1:58 pm #1351410I love it when this happens! Best of luck, don’t be a tease please!
November 28, 2013 at 2:26 pm #1351374I am not super optimistic about this evening but it feels so good to be in the woods without any orange on !
November 24, 2013 at 2:52 pm #1351265Great morning at our place in MN! My brother shot a 145lb horse of a doe and another really nice one. I finally hit the sweet spot on a mature doe, a new guy shot his first deer in almost 20 years and the Kutz girls got to follow a blood trail and help with their first recovery. Lots of smiles all around and rumor has it we will be seeing another well deserved smile from WI!
November 24, 2013 at 2:44 pm #1351264I love mine too. my favorite part is being able to not dress like the Michelin man and still be able to shoot my bow
November 22, 2013 at 1:12 pm #1351226I hope you are not actually tuning out webstj. You are one of the guys on here that thinks about an entire system before interjecting random incomplete thoughts. I am not even sure what was said but I hope you stick around.
Many of us invest everything we have into our time in the outdoors, sometimes opinions differ which is what is great about this site. We are allowed to discuss our opinions but any name calling or personal attacks can be done elsewhere and have no place here.November 16, 2013 at 3:05 pm #1351029That is awesome that you are adding another man skill to the resume! Nice job so far and keep up the good work…plus a handful of those pesky yotes.
November 15, 2013 at 12:47 pm #1351014Nikon rangefinders . I have owned 2, both of them have that stupid little circle to hold the battery in that I can never get locked back in. If I try a butter knife or a quarter it grinds the little plastic tabs right off. Am I missing something? I spent 2 hours last week searching through the leaves underneath the stand where it fell out. Any better ideas than the electrical tape I have on it now? The function and the clarity are great…but without a battery…
November 15, 2013 at 11:16 am #1351013We have been having a lot of conversations about this years rut in camp. My experiences have been very similar, a random chase here and there but very minimal. A few other observations I have no answers for is that we had multiple scrapes show up before September this year, a quick couple towards the end of Oct and now most have not been freshened in over 2 weeks? I have barely found any rubs? We had opportunities at velvet bucks in MN and WI? Just a few pieces of info to make the puzzle more complicated I hope d & dh was right because I am here and ready!
November 15, 2013 at 11:00 am #1351011It is simply amazing what these dogs can learn to do! It’s about time to start hunting for my new partner.
November 10, 2013 at 3:27 am #133800There are 2 ways for him to get educated and learn the true love of the outdoors. You can teach and share your experiences or you can let him learn most of his lessons the hard way and see if he sticks with it.
If it were a close friend of mine I would wait until after the rut (which I am barely seeing) when things slow down and sit with him for a weekend. If it is somebody you sort of know I would teach them the value of topo maps, google earth and plat books for the current season.
Just my $.02November 6, 2013 at 1:11 pm #133656Any and every time you can bring them they are more than welcome Kooty. There is nothing better than the look on their faces when they see something new in natures marvel. We might have to build some larger box blinds before you youngest gets the itch!
November 3, 2013 at 5:03 pm #133541Vehicles do the least amount of damage in my opinion. Often times that is just not an option, like Kooty said a bottle or a loud grunt call. Anything is better than having them realize exactly where you were sitting by packing up while they are close. I actually hit a nubbin with a bottle a few years back and he still wouldn’t leave the food plot
November 2, 2013 at 3:13 pm #133527I am sorry to hear this Randy. heartbreaker for sure, I couldn’t imagine
November 2, 2013 at 2:03 pm #133526My account has been working well all season. I love this app. We are going to start sharing a login on our hunting lease in BC but am now wondering what happens when more than one user tries to login at the same time?
November 1, 2013 at 5:49 pm #133505I had a buddy that got a couple of packages of junk batteries in the past. Not likely but I would get a different batch and try them before sending it in. good luck, please share what you find out.
October 31, 2013 at 5:26 pm #133456That is how it is done! Very well written story with a perfect ending! You made all the right decisions and deserve every inch of that stud . Well done pro tour, I feel like I was sitting next to you.
October 31, 2013 at 4:01 pm #133451I love Halloween hunting! This is my sixth full day sit on Halloween. Just had an encounter with a stud but he chose the “wrong” path .
October 29, 2013 at 7:13 pm #133365Very nice read, very well played hunting decisions and a phenomenal buck! Congratulations on every aspect of it. you da man!
October 27, 2013 at 7:09 pm #133253Thattaboy Kooty! He texted me after the first shot and said. “I didn’t think this thing could miss” , way to restore your perfect record buddy !
October 27, 2013 at 7:00 pm #133252Another vote for nocturnal. They are easy to turn off, obvious when they are lit and I have never had one turn on accidentally.
