Fished today. Water temps 38 to 40. Very slow. What we caught was in deeper water 15-20′ and super slow presentation. Nothing pitching yet. Saw a few small fish caught at high bridge. Had a 5+ female that was fat and firm.

Colville is wide open. But the high bridge will be closed from 10 pm till 6 am today and tomorrow 4/12 and 4/13. Waited over 30 min this am for them to clear the road and it did not open till 645.

It was chilly. Usually in low 20’s when we got off the water. Got hard to cast when all the line is frozen in the reel. Thursday night drove 35-40 MPH to get there but well worth it

Put in at Clementson and fish just downstream from the Rapid River casting your line towards Canada. We used 3 or 4 circle hooks with 3 crawlers and 2 rainbows. Bite really picked up from 8-11 pm. Good luck.

Thanks for the great report. Heading up Thursday. Have always fished 4 mile bay so I guess I will be learning some new spots on the river this year. All the reports on bad ramps and big holes are a bit unsetteling but we will figure it out. Thanks for a great post.

I feel for you, tough bite and conditions. Had the same on Friday. Lets hope the post-spawn bite makes up for it.

Its a sad day for P4. How many times I’ve read “see Dean for the latest bite” You seemed just as happy about your customers fishing success as the guys catching the fish. The fish I caught off your good advise or color choice will never be replaced. You will be missed my friend. Good luck to you.

Launched out of Everts the past three days with no problems. Get there early to park down the hill or catch a shuttle. Lots of saugers with an occasional eye mixed in. Best bite before noon, 12′ to 24′ with most fish caught in the 16-20′ range.

Fished the past three days and Everts is open and I launched there with no problem. Only a handfull of parking spots but they are shuttling you up & dowm the hill. Just be patient as there is only one ramp or get there early.

We caught 3 small saugers or one sauger three times last weekend on Pepin with this curved back. Let it go but wondered if we should get it out of the gene pool so to speak??? Any ideas,

I’m glad to see and hear there are still some pre-spawn walleyes out there, for a couple more days anyway.

Thanks for a good report. Don’t let some guys comments bother you, you showed us there are fish to be caught and it looks like fun. Thats all anyone should know, keep your good spots to yourself and thanks again for the post
