Here you go. I just put 3 of these on my boat and am VERY happy with them. They ship slow. But the product is top notch.
I don’t know if this is a true snell. But I have yet to have one not hold.
It works for me.

Hope this helps.
I just put these on my boat and really like them. http://www.scotty.com/marine/products/product/rodholders/baitcaster.html
They have a slot on the bottom for spinning rods and the rubber strap that goes over the top of the holder in the pic spins around and will lock in a spinning rod also. The saddle on top for a bait caster is padded. They are made out of tough material and are easy to adjust.
I picked mine up at Sportsmans Warehouse for $13.99 apiece with the top/side mount.
Start it up and pull a battery cable off. If it dies then you know that it is your alternator. If it keeps running then you know that you need a new battery or have a bad connection.
Your alternator should charge even at an idle. You can put a volt meter on it and that would tell you if it is weak.( then it would be a regulator issue, most of those a built into the alternator. Same result, new alternator).Any shop or buddy that is mechanically inclined should be able to do that for you.
Good luck.

Tell you what guys. If this wind would go down to a decent gail. I would be out there right now. Even in these temps.
Shot a 3 day weekend right in the behind.
I would think the oil pressure would be fine. If your motor was not getting proper oil pressure the alarm would go off or shut down.
As far as the water, I would not be to worried about it. The pump is obviously good if it pushes water at a higher rpm.
If it bothers you then turn the idle up. As long as water is coming out and no alarms are going off I wouldn’t worry about it. JMO
I have a 18ft. Crestliner Canadian with a 60hp Mercury 4-stroke tiller and I have no need for a kicker. If I am pulling crank baits or something that I need to go a little faster I troll forward. Lindy rigs, bottom bouncers, or anything else I need to slow down with I back troll. If I need to go slower yet (which is not very often) I drift or use my bow mount electric.
Tiller boat, 1 outboard, 1 electric, and a drift sock cover all my needs.
Thanks for the warm welcome guys. I am from central Iowa close to Marshalltown. I fish mostly smaller lakes, Hickory Grove, Rock Creek, and I love to hit Red Rock when I can dodge the boat traffic. I do travel a little and have been know to fish the Iowa River between Steamboat down to Liscomb.
My favorite species has to be panfish with my 2 boys. I like to get into the catfish once in a while. I do make a yearly pilgrimage to Canada. I camp on a island for a week and love to set the hook on a big pike.
Thanks again for the warm invite. I like to share my info. I always figured that I get so much from a site like this that what little I can offer is the least I can do.
Good luck to everyone. Hope your weather outlook is better than mine.
