    so the depth of the water is not a factor when hovering over structure? or at what point do you need a different type transducer? thanks again.

    what about in regards to keeping the boat over structure below – is it accurate in its detail? he was telling me that from what he read he would have to purchase a Garmin gps in order to truly know where – say a sunken boat/ship – was for sure. thanks again.

    the kit sounds like what i need. i may go to outdoor world and see if they have it. can you recommend a system that would be compatible with the 798? i’m thinking of getting something for the console. i currently use the 798 up front for spidder rigging ( it may be i need to move this one to the console and get the other for up front – or see if i can add an additional mount for the 798). thanks for your advice.

    yes – assuming the down scan is decent on the 798.

    thanks for the reply – i watched the video and a few more. can you use 2 transducers on the 798? – right now i have one on the trolling motor – which of course is useless when using outboard.
