Fished Lawrence today (11-2) and didnt catch a lot but the ones I did catch were in the 7-9 inch range so it was worth it. Guys are doing pretty good on tip ups for pike and bass. it was a beautiful day out!!

everything at fishermans rd seems to be small to say the least. give 1-2 years and if they have enough to eat it will be a good place. tons of small ones BLGL, in the 4-6 inch range

Went out to Black Deer tonight. Good Ice but the fish were bad. Lots of 3-4 inch gills. There were a couple other people out and the ones I talked to said the same. This was my first time out there so I might be fishing the wrong areas

Slop, I am pretty free after 10am…is it decent fishing during the noon hours???? I am used to the mentality of early and late for walleye/sauger??

    johnl..
The 5600 was the one I was looking at and it seemed to be a sturdy shelter that you could actually fit three people in.

It weighs 75 lbs so it might be a problem in snow….

Guys, thanks for the insight! I appreciate the unselfish knowledge that I have been reading from you all(1 week) I am not familiar with fishing below a dam so this is al new to me. Do you all fish with ice rods or “regular” 6-footers? At least I know now that I need to get some heavier jigs.

I hope to get out there tommorrow.

When will any of be out there??

    Thanks again

What kind of water depth is below the dam? I was out this past weekend for the first time with light tackle and had problems with finding the bottom.

Also, any body have any recommendations on portable shelter?
