Not sure where we go on the ice. We had to drive something like 5 miles on the ice to get to the spot.
Guides said it was one of the slowest weekends this year.
January 26, 2014 at 4:21 pm #1383251Fishing was good on pool 13 this morning before the winds started blowing 35 mph

That is frustrating for sure. I bet Marcum will treat you right.
after a phone call and a email I am still waiting on marcum. I called Monday and was told I would get a ups tag via email by Tuesday afternoon. I sent an email yesterday with no response. I am very close to driving the 120 miles back to the store to get a refund.January 20, 2013 at 1:03 pm #1132775Now it wont even turn on. I finally get a Flasher and I buy a lemon. I will call marcum tomorrow.
January 19, 2013 at 7:04 pm #1132644The problem is I bought it from Cabelas and I live more then 2 hours from the closest one.
July 5, 2012 at 11:13 pm #1081421My wife and I went out on a big boat one time in destin. They did full or half days. We caught a ton of fish and it was cheap. Only downfall is there was like 30+ people on the boat. Cant think of the name but we just signed up at the dock the day before or trip.
January 6, 2012 at 12:38 am #1025007Thanks guys. I was really wanting to get out but this weather is killing me. wow did it really hit 58 in PDC today?? I live 3 hours south and we only got to 53.
Thanks again for the info and heads up
August 3, 2011 at 9:35 pm #986052I think the high water had something to do with it. My old fall back spots looked bad. Then we were able to find a patern that no one else was on. In 3 days we never saw another boat while we were fishing. To weigh in 28 pounds in 2 days with out seeing a boat I think makes for my best trip.
April 26, 2011 at 2:55 pm #960682Not sure about pool 12, but pool 13 is loaded with nice pike. Just go out and bass fish and you will find all the pike you ever want.
My buddy landed a 45″ pike last spring while bass fishing.
I had another buddy land a small muskie on pool 14 a few years ago. It was only like 24 inches or so.
March 22, 2011 at 3:43 pm #949617From what I have been told by buddies that have been there in the past few days is. Fishing is on fire. You can get fish on just about anything you want to do. Lots of boats but also lots of fish. One report I saw was guys anchored belowe the damn in one spot for over 2 hours. 30 keepers pitching plastics
March 20, 2011 at 8:30 pm #948987Nice job Cade :yay
Talked to a buddy that was out on pool 14 Friday. He managed some bass in the backwaters that still had ice in some places. Water temps were in the mid 40’s in there he said.
The river is starting, just hope we don’t get flooded out
March 1, 2011 at 10:19 pm #942704I am just glad that I am on pool 13. I will be fishing before to long. Back waters have started to open up on the banks and the islands. couple more warm days and some light rain and I will be on the water.
August 19, 2010 at 12:53 am #894349Here is a much better picture of my smallmouth. She looks really skinny in this one though
August 19, 2010 at 12:43 am #894347Here is a picture of at 19 3/4″ that I caught on pool 10 last weeked during a tournament. She was very skinny.
August 8, 2010 at 9:01 pm #891806Great I am heading there in a couple days for a tournament. I just hope to find some fish I guess. Got to get some points to stay near the top of our AYO standings
July 16, 2010 at 1:49 am #887239I still have a month before I will make it up for my yearly tournament trip. I just hope that the fish are in a great mood when I get up there. I only get one day to prefish
July 16, 2010 at 1:47 am #887238That is the only picture that I know of. He does not get back till friday afternoon sometime.
You are right about the colors. I would love it if all my bass looked that way
July 15, 2010 at 12:33 am #886948I can tell you that this bass came farther north than Grand Rapids. It is the 2nd on that I have seen that far north go well over 7 pounds. You are right about the bass fishing pressure that far north.
May 23, 2010 at 9:12 pm #874106I can’t really give a number. I have not been able to be on the water like I want. I thought I would get lots of water time with weekends off this summer, but my wife has other ideas
When I have been on the water its been decent. I have fished two tournaments and been in the top three both times. That is with out any prefishing at all.
April 26, 2010 at 1:20 am #866737I would be taking all your info and using right now. But I can’t I have to wait till August before I get up to pool 10 again.
Thanks for the post it was great reading
April 26, 2010 at 1:17 am #866732I caught a 4-12 largmouth in a tournament yesterday that had a bloody tail and had spawned out. We had 4 fish that had bloody tails weighed in.
That was on pool 13 of the mississippi
April 16, 2010 at 9:11 pm #864542I got these all today. Two fish over 6 pounds. One of them was a PB 6.5 pound pig I caught on a sexy shad swimbait.
April 13, 2010 at 1:02 am #863247I fished the lower end of pool 13 for about 3 hours on Saturday late morning. It was windy but I managed 2 keepers that were about 2.5 pounds each.
Spring lake will be my next trip out. Might be friday or Sunday
April 9, 2010 at 3:54 pm #862491Here are the biggest 5 from the other day while fishing a pond in Illinois. 3.5 hours I caught 15 bass the smallest fish was 14″ the biggest was on my first cast, she was 19.5″.
All the bass were caught on a red trap and a white spinner bait.
April 9, 2010 at 3:45 pm #862486With any luck I will be on the water for the first time tomorrow. Will post any results good or bad
