would prefer to find a place that has them in stock where i could pick one up on my way up to red lake today. or if anyone has a makeshift mount that would let me use my panoptix for the weekend until i can find a replacement transducer mount.
eagle makes a pretty sweet case, not hard on the wallet. it holds 6 rods and some tackle
well, james and bearcat. you both just got me very excited to try some fishing at night up there. thank you for the info!
I keep reading different things here on no night bite? Are you guys hunkered down all day all night in the same spot?
I fish lotw often in the winter. And we always get our hogs after dark and many numbers to. But we arnt sitting in one spot we follow them as they move. This is why we fish in portables and leave the big shack in the day spot.
I cant imagine going up there to get 12 inch fish all day just to give up and leave for the night. At least not when I drive 4.5 hours. What are you guys doing or not to say the night bite is dead? I’m confused. We sometimes have to go a half mile to 2 miles but thats nothing compared to 5 hours of driving to get there. I would rather snooze from 3 am to 9 am and then do it all over rather then miss the night out there
you have caught fish out there at night? i’ve stayed in a sleeper once out there and we didn’t catch anything after dark. so never spent the money to do a sleeper again.

I’m going to give the Go Devils a try this year.care to share a link for those? haven’t heard of them and a google search doesn’t bring me to them
These were the ticket circa 2003.
Often called Glo or Glow Devils the Go Devils were a product of Scenic Tackle out of Bemidji MN.
I’m pretty sure the Go Devils became the Lightnin’ Vertiglo Spoon at Custom Jigs and Spins.
I still use 1/8 oz. Go Devils every time out. They still work!
thanks for the link!! i’ll have to pick a couple of these up and give them a shot. seems to me the old style tackle catches more fish than the new stuff most days
I have a few hyper glides and love them. Just was using one the other night for open water shallow eyes
what are your go to colors? i picked up fire tiger and the pink and yellow one

you wouldn’t happen to have an extra one of those knobs that hold the transducer to the pole? if so i would buy one from you!
do you fish at night often? can never have enough lights in the boat for those late nights. led light strips under the seats and console are a good add-on.
had the clam silver briefcase style rod box, used and abused over the last two winters. guy at cabelas talked me into the eagle rod case.
am looking into some of the clam hub accessories to see if they would link up with an otter hub house, i contacted clam over the question me they said that it should work.
also looking to get into the strikemaster lithium 24V auger.
sorry, i’m located in otsego so anywhere in the cities would be ideal
the lake we fish is in the spicer area
I am thinking of going out and trying Pool 2. Never been out there and have been a little hesitant to try fishing it in a boat. I fish the sippi’ in otsego often but always from shore. any tips or info on helping a newbie out would be appreciated!
