I remember WCCO as Boone & Erickson for the morning drive and Cannon the afternoon drive. But, i may have that turned around, it’s been awhile.

You got it right. They always started the show with the Good Morning Good Morning jingle.

Good morning good morning, its grand to be up! Never forget it. What i always looked forward to hunting in sodak mid 90’s was Paul Harvey, could listen to that guy for hours around the campfire.

Great looking pooch Justin! Val was definitely talented, we enjoyed all his films. Even have several on vhs yet..lol. Top secret was always good for a laugh, besides the obvious “Thunderheart” was another good one.

During the work day I’m stuck with radio, early morning before Bernard came on they rocked pretty good, when he came on i switched stations. Although Jack and 107.9 are like clock work, you’ll hear either Prince, Petty, the boss or Elton bout every 15 minutes ( where’s the puke emoji). That being said I’ll always keep xm radio in the pick em up..

    Swimjiggin,
I tried some a few years ago but everything sounded “tinny”, do yours?
and if not what ya got?
I’m sick and tired of watching TV and need the closed captions and sitting at the bar saying “what did you say” so now I just nod my head.

They were really tinny at first, got home and played around with settings. After 5 days .miracle ear wanted me back in for further adjustments, she brought the sharpness down more off the computer. I think most places that sell em would have the ability to adjust them to our needs.

Ever notice people with Tinnitus talk really loud? I’m one of them and the work place is full of em. After my 3rd hearing test which I failed miserably I decided to try hearing aids. On week 3 and not 1 person has noticed them, kinda nice I have an app on the phone which I can change settings on room volume, bass, sharpness etc. Before I watched TV, now I can hear it without the volume cranked. The mrs noticed right away I don’t talk as loud as I did before…lol.

You make it sound like you shoot a cat quite often.

Used to get more of them in the past. They are tough to get when your range is limited to bird shot.

You must be blasting them in the ditch, cuz that’s the only place I see em pounding gravel in the fall. Can’t say I’ve ever flushed a kitty cat in the field chasing Roosters..

Looking at wi waters, alot of folks target early season catch and release bass.

It’s quite popular in Michigan too. They changed theirs a few years before Wisconsin did.

Would you drop your boat in say Tonka targeting bass in April?

So who would actually fish for them right after ice out? We’re talking a month or so and the actual bass opener?? Weather depending. Our inland waters we sometimes catch accidental bass while fishing eyes openingweekend, but they are usually deep. Come memorial weekend and the shoreline is usually crawling with em ( when they are legal) Don’t think I’ve ever cleaned one so they can do whatever they want, won’t change the way I fish.

Just thought I’d touch on goulash. When i met my wife she was a goulash freak, a family staple. It was the most tasteless dinner I ever had. I’d dump crushed red pepper on it and basically insult the family. She came around tho, I got her using Italian sausage instead of burger, so much better..

My bird feeding is coming to an end for the season, I don’t deal with bears in the summer.

Only notable things for me was the number of blue jays that stuck around this winter, there were a bunch of them.

Also I still have about 25lbs of the budget white bag seed from Tractor Supply. Nothing by me likes that stuff, going to dump it in the woods somewhere lol

Is that white safflower Reef? Tough sell around here also. Really neat spring time, never know what’s going to show up.

Kinda nasty out there tonight. Not looking forward to the commute tomorrow morning.

me neither, 0200 commute is usually not good, sometimes one gets really lucky and a plow truck convoy puts one behind even more..

I was about to say the same thing bigstorm. So on my original post the dude at work burnt up 2 M18 drills, maybe they aren’t cut out for it? So it definitely left a bad taste as far as a drill set up for him. Anywho thanks for the responses, I guess I’m used to a jiffy chewing thru whatever and never had the blades changed or sharpened. Was hoping something with chipper blades doing the same..maybe I’m just over thinking this.

Exactly Rip, building a skid house soon and pretty sure the shaver blades won’t reopen old holes is why I might need a different set up.

As a lakeshore property owner I’ve watched our waters really change in the last 12yrs or so. First came the milfoil, then the zebes now Starry Stonewort showed her ugly side. I can deal with the zebes but thick masses of weeds are a problem, 2 yrs ago there wasn’t 1 boat on a lift that the prop wasn’t covered with weeds. Fortunately with a grant and our lake association there was quite a few acres worth of weeds that got killed off but more needs to be done. I’m all in favor of these launch kids, if 1 rig is found bringing something in, then it’s a success.

Filters are important, Wix like Suzuki mentioned are a great filter. The kid works in the industry so he gets Donaldson filters at a great price. I’m a monitor fella myself, but still keep an eye on miles. We ran out to the west coast, changed oil before we left. 5200 miles were put on and the monitor said 60% when we got back. All highway miles but it got changed anyhow.

4 yrs I’ll be 60 and that’s it for full-time, sell this place and build at the cabin. All my investments can just sit won’t touch any til 65, SS might take a hit with not much going in but I’ll climb on the Mrs. insurance until then. The piece and quiet compared to here not to mention the stress level of 38 yrs…. Will be welcomed.

My kid had a 2012 big horn now he’s in a 22 Rebel, yep even has the big Rebel patch on the back, that’s a sweat truck! Too many options for me. I’ve been partial to the 2500, they look great, my 16 2500 Ram has been a great truck, a little rougher ride but that’s ok. My wife reminds me of it every Friday in the summer while looking at a laptop bouncing while she’s finishing off her day heading to the cabin… what a gal.

It’s funny how the shots and viruses affect people differently. Growing up i caught about everything going around. Fast forward to kids and a wife, they recieved the flu shot and I faught it fer a few yrs, I got sick as he!! And missed a week of work then caved. Havnt missed a day of work for close to 20 since getting the flu shot, it never affected me at all getting the needle..

What gets me is how this shooter is able to escape using public transport. You gotta think someone recognized him at some point.

One thing I did notice with all the labs we had over the years is the yellows had thick coats and under coats big ole otter tails on them, not sure if it was a coincidence but the 2 blacks we have now and a previous black are as fine as shorthairs… almost.
