What are they down to? I bet some retailers are already thinking spring time and trying to move product so they don’t have to sit on it over the summer.
$199 is lowest I’ve seen but they are ranging from $199-219

Do yourself a favor and check out Limit Creek ice rods in models LCIR30MLF and LCIR30W. Both are 30 inch rods one with a lighter action than the other. I personally use the lighter action, LCIR30MLF, for both walleye and perch/crappie applications. Both rods MSRP at $29.00.
Put a Shimano Sienna 500 on both of them and you’ll be under $60/each.
Thanks for he input. I’m haven’t looked how we traveling yet but I’ll keep A&W in mind !
Broke out the old map book.. Gives a decent idea where to start looking. Hope it helps!
This is good stuff. Thank you!
Thanks for all the input. I’ve been so happy with glass I think I’ll stick with it. You’ve also talked me into trying green mirror. I do love my blue mirror but they aren’t great in shaded areas or for driving……….on sunny days on the ice or middle of the lake, the blue mirror are perfect.
I forgot my costas while at work the other day and borrowed a pair of oakleys from a co-worker. There is no comparison, Costas are the only way to go IMO. The clarity of the oakleys are considerably inferior compared to my costa 580G.
Thanks for the help everybody. I chose to try a green mirror and go from there. I feel much better getting reviews/info from you folks over a retail associate who may know a lot about the product but have zero experience with the different options.
Thanks for all the great info. Sounds like I can’t go wrong with whatever choice I make!
I have a waterproof case for my iphone. Somebody should create one that floats. Id buy it.
I lost one iphone down the hole. I bought a new iphone and a “Lifeproof” waterproof case. I also bought the life jacket for the lifeproof. Its really a nice set up and comes with a lanyard to wear around your neck and makes looking at your phone while running Navionics very simple, especially while walking and wearing a bunch of clothing. Saves from fumbling with your phone in and out of pocekts every few minutes while dragging a sled.

This is a great rod transporter and also great for rod storage in the off season.
It was the closest thing I could find to the Stone Legacy Revolution. The revolution is a little smaller but you won’t go wrong with the Striker model. Lots of room.
I ordered a bullwhip yesterday. Adam was great to deal with and I will definitely be ordering from TUCR again. I was told I should have my new rod the first week of January, so 3-4 weeks out.
I bought the flx28 last year and used it for a couple weeks. I have always been a “Vexilar Guy.”. I loved this unit and was very happy with it…until the unit started to malfunction. I think it was from a poor battery but wasn’t going to take chances before a LOTW trip. I returned the 28 and had planned to exchange it for another. The store was out of 28’s but had one LX7 left. I opted to switch out the 28 for the lx7.
That was the best thing I’ve ever done. The lx7 is great. I am very happy with this unit and am now a “Marcum Guy.” I use the flasher and the vertical column in the split screen display. This unit has more to offer than the 28.
I pondered this topic last year just like you are now. You will be happy either way you go….but do yourself a favor and go with the lx7!
