In my younger days buddies dad had a 21′ glass boat the one that had 3′ sides. All I had was a 2 wheel drive ford ranger with a hamster wheel motor but we wanted to go water skiing. When we went to take the boat out we had to use the motor on the boat pushing to get it out of the water and yes people laughed but we didn’t care.

Dells pond is not easy to access because of river current and would not be a great perch bite. You can get a fair walleye and pike bite there but you would have to walk on and there are not a lot of good access to the fishing area especially with a big group. Ice fishing is in the dog days of winter and of course anyone that is catching fish is staying quiet. Only lakes with good bites are at least an hour or better drive. Supposed to be a nice weekend pick something close and just enjoy the day. If you really want to fish hard and catch fish go north chetek area and north.

February 17, 2025 at 10:56 am #2318151There is not a province that currently I would move to. Buddy has owned property in sunset county for 30 years on lotw. We usualy spend 4-6 weeks a year up there and have many canadian friends that live there year round and some that live in the states in the winter. It’s fun to visit but I could never live there. It’s funny anytime there is an event in the area they all get excited like something spectacular is going to happen. I could see the winters up there getting very long you can only do so many winter activites and when is -30 they really become limited. Also the ones that do winter there have happy hour 4-7 days a week! One thing that turned me off is what they had to do during covid they were confined to there propeties for 4 weeks at a time and you could not even have a person come to your property and sit in the front yard. The used cellphone pinging to know there location, scary stuff.
February 12, 2025 at 6:27 am #2316975If you hold the rod in your hand I would not go bigger then 7′ longer rods will cause more arm fatigue. I prefer a rod with a slower action so when the bite happens you can load on the fish slowly not quick like a jigging rod.

February 6, 2025 at 8:31 am #2315589Here is a ordinance by a town to allow snowmobiles to ride the road in certain instances.

Not sure where you live but in Wisconsin all ditches in the road easement can be rode because that property is owned by the public not the landowner usually 33′ from center line. There are a few landowners who believe they own it and but things in the easement to try to damage the snowmobiles and that is a big no no. If you have riders riding outside of the easement that is a lack of respect. Hopefully this new snow opens up a lot of new county’s!
February 4, 2025 at 7:05 am #2315062That’s the worst fishing lake in the country.
That’s because this guy is taking them out by the bucket load.
February 3, 2025 at 3:10 pm #2314969Rip rapping shoreline it went into about 20′ of water excavator there to pull the unit out from the depths not the first time this guy has done this. No one injured.
January 31, 2025 at 3:05 pm #2314203Before my father died he had that mess from many years I said what good do they do if there not organized. We spent the day sorting them into bins by size and type. After we were done he said it really nice now if he needs something he can find it easily. Of course probably 25% went into the trash since it would never be used.
January 30, 2025 at 5:24 am #2313779Not sure this is your problem but many of the 24s were shipped with a coating on the switch. Pull your battery and press your drill button down and roll the button around when it is down it will punch threw that coating.

January 21, 2025 at 8:50 am #2311942Just be careful when shutting those valves off, depending how old they are. Lot of times they’ll leak at the valve
January 8, 2025 at 8:19 pm #2309568Yes doctor’s gave poison ivy shots until it started killing people you can no longer get them. Can’t believe everything your doctor prescribes.
January 5, 2025 at 11:21 am #2308746A few years back we broke our all time record grooming and didn’t start grooming til February. That first day back on the sled reminds me why you do it. Granted I can ride the ATV but it’s just not the same. So much private land is not accessible to the wheeled vehicles.
January 3, 2025 at 9:24 am #23083621 question though. did they lap the backer board over the tub/shower flange? If not, you’ll have long term water issues
[/quote]
X2January 3, 2025 at 6:49 am #2308322I’m guessing the tub is on an exterior wall which is pulling out in the winter time. It is cracking because the upper tile”surround” looks like it was not installed correctly on to the tub flange. Most likely the upper surround will need to be removed and installed correctly otherwise this will continue every winter.

You can’t kill them all , look at the coyote population !How many people do you know that still hunt coyotes? I dont know anyone personally who actively targets them. THey will take the opportunity to shoot one if the chance comes up however.
There are many groups in my area that hunt coyotes all winter with dogs problem is once you get closer too town they can’t use the dogs and coyotes are difficult to hunt without dogs. You can get a couple but they get smart quick.
December 25, 2024 at 8:16 am #2306799When we fish in Canada we basically fish off our sleds. We boil water on the stove in the morning before we leave put it in a thermos and fill it with homemade suasages hotdogs, kielbasa, etc.

December 11, 2024 at 9:16 am #2304246I understand property values going up and taxes to follow but what happens when property values go down such as 2008. The taxes did not go down the following years but stayed the same. In buisness if sales are down you have to make changes in spending to account for this in goverment you just keep spending. If your going to increase in good times you have to decrease during bad. Many people did not recieve any wage increase during those times but public employees still got cost of living increase.
December 7, 2024 at 11:02 am #2303570President-elect Trump has promised to impose tariffs of 25 percent on all imports from Canada and Mexico and an additional 10 percent tariff on all imports from China when he takes office. If imposed permanently, we estimate these tariffs would generate $1.2 trillion in tax revenue from 2025 through 2034 on a conventional basis. In the long run, we estimate the tariffs would reduce GDP by 0.4 percent and employment by 344,900 jobs. Our estimates do not capture the effects of retaliation, nor the additional harms that would stem from starting a global trade war.
Sounds serious…
