Otstanding! Thank you so much for your input. I will keep your advice in my tackle box and on the line. I must say; I threw my Bomber deep diver (18 Ft.) Clown Crank and thought it was hits, but maybe snagging with one of the trebles. It was kind of wierd…reflecting I believe they were short striking. Oh well, I hope to get back up there this weekend, if the wife will let me. The way gas is now, it’s a chunk of change from the other side of the State. Maybe I can talk my buddy Steiny in splitting the cost of gas. Hey, thanks again and Good Fishing!

I’d love to do it. And I’ve got a 7 yr. old partner to boot.

Probably because of the DNR’s new proposal to charge additional money for those tournaments with more than a small club format.

Holly Cripes, not another truck driver; Do you know the only time you will have two or more truck drivers ever agree?
At the buffet line……….J/K Dan, I drove 10 years myself…..What’s even worse is that I grew up in Mora and N.B. was always the enemy in high school football. It’s great to have you aboard. If you ever have a question about fishing, post it, and these boys will have a ton of answers for ya! This site is better than “merriam-webster”

Basskota was made in Coon Valley, Wi a number of years ago, they use a Skeeter hull and build on it. I’m not sure on weight or current pitch of prop (pretty beat up). I have awsome hole shot now, even beat those ’04 250hp Tritons out of the hole, but quickly passed. Do you think that this pitch may damage anything? or am i just going to suffer hole shot?

This is the first in dealing with a prop issue. My boat is a Basskota 18′ fiberglass.

I have a fiberglass bass boat and before you go out and spend $150 plus on a keel guard take a look at the do it yourself rhino liner from Menards. I spent $48 on a can and taped off the keel of my boat and applied it early this spring and I have been on rocks, metal, and stones without a scratch to the hull . Definately recomend that stuff, guess thats why they call it Rhino . I’m sure it’ll adhere to alluminum. Good luck.

I’m taking the 7 yr old boy up to pool 8 and try to find him some bass. He skunked me with a 6 lb channel cat last time we were fishing.

I was hoping to find out what kind of style/bait was working? Like I said, I could only muster 2 and that was on a 3/4 oz. Spinner bait with big gold colorado blade and med. nickel willow (in between shaking off the pike). I just want to try and better myself.

That really burns me that those three comentators flap their gums when you’ve got people to weigh in right behind them(and nothing about Jimmy). I’m going to e-mail ESPN and at least voice my opinion…like it’ll do a lot, but at least I’ll have accomplished a stern oral chastizing

I saw them on Bass Center and the first thing I thought was, I can make that. Correct me if I’m wrong but couldn’t a guy use a buzz prop on a steel leader and bridge into his jig mold? What the heck I’m going to try it anyways. If nothing else it’s something new to them.
