THE STURGEON WERE NOT KILLED FOR THEIR EGGS ON LOW. THEY WERE CAUGHT IN THE FISHING NETS AND WOULD RUIN THEM SO THEY STARTED TO KILL THEM INSTEAD OF LETTING THEM GO. I BELIEVE AFTER A WHILE THEY STARTED TO KEEP AND SELL FOR DOG FOOD.

I used these stops for my son ice fishing this past season and didn’t like them. They would pop off if the hit the guides just right and when they did make it to the spool on a spinning outfit you had to pull the line out by hand at the spool because the line would pile up behind the stop and would not feed out on its own. Also when trying to put them on the line they are so small and hard to get ahold of it was almost impossible, an dtrying to put them on the way they show doesn’t work because they would fall off the holder if you breathed to hard on them. Wow I didn’t realize I disliked them so much, sorry for the rant!

I would look at a pellat stove. They are 80-90% efficiant and a lot safer than a wood stove. I have one in my basement and love it. With a structure that size I would say you could heat it with about one 40lb. bag a day. Around here we can get single bags for about $4.75 and if yu buy a pallet of 60 bags they are $4.00 a bag. ou812 Although you had a bad trip that will probably leave a bad taste in your mouth for quite a while, be glad you don’t live here like the locals. Every year we put up with the very idiots that you described. Most of the people that I, know who fish sturgeon do not go out on that weekend for the very same reason that made you leave. I was out on Saturday and was treated to the same loud mouthed I’m a tourist and don’t give a s**t attitude that you were. I was particularly impressed with the guys pissing over the side of the boats in front of my kids,and the guys who have to fish on top of your anchor. Well there’s a lot more to urine and moan about but I’m tired of thinking about it. Hopefully the bad eggs will read this and maybe think about it and change their style for the better because a lot of them can’t get any worse.
