Damn few on pool 16 also.

I’m calling BS there.. I caught well over 1,000 this spring out of 15 and 16. Gotta fish at the right time and find them. When the river was 10′ high you couldnt keep them off the hook, most everybody was taking home their 25 whites in the 13-16″ range. Caught 2 over 17″ and 3lbs this spring also.

BBK- Everyone can catch them in slyvan slough. Are you able catch any on the main river or bottom end of pool???

Have you tried going down to pool 17(Muscatine)? The bite has been better and I think the quality it better also this year. The blade bait and hair jig bite is on. Fish the top four miles up to the dam.

I see they are also available at Bass Pro and are now made by luck e strike. I think the Hibdon’s may have taken this jig head from Aaron Martens.

From what I just heard, is that Lucky-E-Strike has some agreement/contract with Aaron Martens on purducing this jig.

I heard through the grape vine that there is a investigation going on- on some individuals with the over possession limits. It will be interesting to see how it all falls out and if it will be published.

Herb i also never keep one over 20 & i am fine with the slot but Iowa closed on dec 1 & they can fish the Wisconsin side of the river. You can find the line on a map of the river or on a gps mapping chip

I believe it is from the DAM down to the Train Bridge on the Wisconsin side…

I fish pool 11 Tuesday and caught a limit pulling Hutch’s painted Rapalas in Clown, purplechub. Also a few fish on hair jigs. * Pool 12 had been putting up some BIGGGG fish. The Dubuque club tourny last Sunday put up 24lbs to the winner!!! Fish Catfish creek on up!

Mica, when you talk about Shad Style baits, are you referring to cranbaits or plastics such as sassy shads. Also are you catching these fish on wingdams or else where???
