If your going to do a lot of sunnies, a five gallon bucket scaler is a great investment. We use one every Fourth of July for the Family fish fry. After a few mintues in the scaler, fillet, beer batter and deep fryer. With all the other sides, potato salad, beans, etc.. Only takes a few sunnies per adult for a great feed.

Excellent job, introducing her to the outdoors. Usually takes a lot of patience, sounds like your day flew by.

Be careful of two things. 1) Pretty soon she will be waking you up at 5:00 am to take her fishing like my little guys do. (not a bad thing) 2) before you know it the boys will be falling all over a girl like that (not necessarily a good thing)

Know a little something about the industry, since I work in the manufacturing side. By far the best retail deals are at Costco. Top of the line prodcut, and due to their large purchasing volume, they really squeeze the manufactures

Bought my 2 Springers from Field to Stream Kennels in Mahnomen. It’s been 7 years, so they may not be around anymore. Their son started Glacial Retriever Kennels using same breeding stock, so I would expect great results. I would guess his prices will much higher since it’s his livelyhood and not hobby.

My 2 are great hunters, and family pets. Highly recommend them if still around.

Long time lurker, first time poster.

I have a 5# tank. Use a 6 qt (I think) aluminum spaghetti pot bought from Walmart. Drilled some holes through it and mounted to my sled. Bungee over the top attached to handles of pot. Tank fits right inside it.
