Wow, thank you for the reply’s I thought i would only get a handful.

I currently have a Chicago Cutlery full set I think I got for around $100. The steak knife edges have started to chip so I threw them out. The chef’s knife seems to be chipping slightly as well. I put the steak knives in the dishwasher but always hand washed the chef’s knife. I currently use the sharpening rod it came with. Will this work with the new knife or is it best to get stones or a fixed v sharpener?

After looking through the reply’s I am down to the Wusthof, Shun, and Dalstrong. I am leaning towards the Wusthof as it looks to have the least amount of maintenance?

4 wheelers can get around as long as you dont hit a drift and get high centered, but there are a lot of drifts. Joey Craft and Shane Guy are plowing loops for permies, if you give them a call I would bet they would plow you a path somewhere close to the the current one for some cash.

I just fished there last weekend by the SE ramp, it was so cold and blowing that we hardly moved from the shack with the sleds. When you go, if is a better day you can get around with the sleds and close by with the wheelers. Fishing was tough tho, a few small 8-13″ eyes and a 26″ pike is all we caught. PM me if you want more details.

Thinking about heading out to Lake Francis Case this coming weekend in South Dakota, to get away from this major cold spell. Anyone have any information, or insights on fishing there. Any information is greatly appreciated.

    Thanks
