Is it not OK for that to happen from time to time?

If this is true, I would be shocked not to see it as a national news piece by now. Sad thing is I could see it happening.

560 acres of clover lined trails – full habitat plan filed with DNR that was built off the Recent MN Grouse and Habitat Plan.

I am naming the camp ” Cloverdale” or something similar.

I hope those setters are Old Hemlock, Ryman or – ideally – Tekota Mtn Sunrise dogs

You hunting these grouse off horse back?

Also, only small gauge double guns, fine red wines and appropriately aged brown drinks will be allowed on premises.

And – all dogs will be allowed in the camp and can certainly make themselves comfortable on any vacant piece of comfortable looking furniture. They deserve it after a hards days work in the coverts.

The more I research I’m now considering the Garmin 78 with the Inland Lake map. Any thoughts on this one?

I couldn’t get rid of my H2O fast enough, glad I did. I have had nothing but a good experiences with my Garmin GPS Map76, the satellite lock is faster, seems to be just a bit more accurate, and won’t chew through batteries. One set of lithiums will last about 1/2 a year. Although you can no longer purchase new Lakemaster chips, you might be lucky and find a used one. The Navionics chip is available, and works fine, but not as much detail on some of the lakes.

GD, would you please explain your respone. I have a hard time believing our Gov’t would let these guys release or say anything that would jepordize any of our armed forces. Unless I’m missing something I didn’t think there was any harm done.

I just picked up 2 Avid series St. Croix’s from Dick’s in Davenport for $99 last week (retail $190).

    Dang! That’s awesome.

I got a Temple Fork Outfitters spinning rod (7′ ML) 2 years ago. They retail at $100, and I have been happy thus far.

I looked at the TFO’s the other day, just not sure how I would like the handles.

    how old are the kids??

I wish my dad would have bought me 100$ rods! I know growing up i had cheap rods for a reason because id drop them, hit the boat with them when i was bored ect…..

i would just buy a decent cheap one if i were you until they are old enough to know the value of 100$

These will primarly be my rods but when I take the kids/wife out I don’t want to spend alot of time re-tying their rods, I will already have rods ready to go.

Kooty, I (Santa) bought my son a CVA Optima Compact (.45 cal) last year for X-mas and it is a great shooting little gun. Four of the guys I hunt with also shoot the Optima’s with no problems at all.

HD, up here right now, not Lakota area, up by Minot. Seems to be alot of birds around but they’re spread out all over with all of the water. If I were you I would look for stubble fields or pea fields that they are feeding in and field hunt.

    Good Luck

Hey guys thanks for all the replies.

I should have been more clear in my original post. This is more of a temporary fix. Right now time and money come into play in this project. To do it right I would have to completely take the inside of the boat apart to get to the complete flooring and right now is not a good time to deal with that so I’m just looking for something that will get me by for now.

    Thanks,

    Steve

Just talked to a buddy up fishing and he said 8-9 oz to keep the bait on the bottom, when he did get it to stay on the bottom there is so much junk in the river that the bait was cover with grass/muck in 5 minutes. We were planning on leaving Friday morning but now I’m not sure. They have been there since Monday and have not caught a fish Any thoughts?

Walleyefisher, have you found any mapping chips/paper for this lake. Navionics has it on their Premium chip but it’s in 10′ contours.

    Thanks for posting jerr.

It’s kind of ironic that this got posted, I’m in the process of reading books and researching my grandfathers WWII experiences. He was in the 2nd Marines and fought on Tarawa, Guadacanal, and was wounded on Siapan. Those guys went through hell. My hats off to anyone and everyone that has served or is serving in our military.

    Thank You!!!!
