311Hemi – I’m an independent insurance agent in the cities, have multiple commercial accounts. There is a good chance the contractors commercial general liability policies will carry a property damage deductible.
If it were my client. I would advise they pay for the repairs outside of filing a claim under their policy. Reasons being – one) deductible probably exceeds repairs based off your estimates, and second) they could potentially see an increase on future renewals due to loss history.
My advice – Contact the contractor with your estimate, explain the situation and tell them you would prefer to avoid getting insurance involved. If they have any understanding of insurance they will gladly oblige.

Bottom line Insurance is a business, it shouldn’t surprise anyone that after multiple claims a company would choose to cancel/non-renew a client regardless of longevity. Catastrophic or not a claim is going to show on anyone’s insurance history. No different than any of our driving records. Cat claims (acts of god) are rated differently then say a water damage claim. There are thresholds that each company has for the amount of a loss that they will “rate” for. Bottom line is when you have a claim you have become a statistic to insurance companies. Multiple claims will make you less attractive to companies and intern they also will charge more.
The most important recipe to the lowest rates are CREDIT – LOSS HISTORY – DEDUCTIBLES. Get with an agent that isn’t scared to be honest, have them explain your contract with set company and only make a claim when it absolutely necessary.

I have a 788ci HDDI. Have went back and forth with HB customer service. Depth readings are all over the place and haven’t been able to get any readings no matter the mode. At this point Im assuming the ducer is bad. Any advice before I send the ducer back.

If any of you would like assistance from a broker feel free to shoot me a PM. I’ve been assisting my clients with health ins before Affordable health care/MNsure came along. Not a big fan by any means of the new Gov supported website that basically does exactly what we as brokers were already doing…But this is how things are going to be so “it is what it is.”
Being self employed I pay my own health ins. The increase with my current carrier would equal around $2400 per yr. 2 adults 1 child all healthy. Rarely go to the doc.
I can tell you there are a couple of options out there that would keep my personal situation at the same premium amounts prior to the increase starting Jan 1. My point there is some hope that depending on the factors switching to another carrier will keep options affordable. Regardless good luck to everyone.

Yes, its only happended twice and has been used in between those 2 incidences without any issues. Could that possibly be a result of needing more fluid? Or is it only going to get worse with use. Going to be using the boat all next week on vaca.

I also have a 2004 Lund Mr.Pike w/ shorelander roller trailer. I had the exact same problem last year. Changed the tires and it went away. But now at 50-57mph it starts to shake again. Only at those speeds. When I had the new tires put on we notice my rim was slightly bent. The tech bent it back straight. I have wonderd if that’s the issue. I’ve had the bearings replaced in the meantime and its done nothing. Have you notice a bent rim? I’m going to swap my spare on each to see if it fixes the problem.

Yea, the difference in the price between the terrova and pdv2 is less than $200. The terrova is a better buy and I would still like to have a foot pedal. Looks like im going to have to sell my current pd… Thanks for all the info.

thanks jason for the link to your site. I think that pretty much sold me. I-pilot seems to solve the issue’s that can take time away from having a line in the water. One more question do you still tend to use your footpedal?
