Metro winter time smallmouth. Wading in the Mississippi and catching smallies when everyone is out ice fishing in December and February.

Being a stick bait fiend, I wish bass pro still made those old jerk bait boxes. Looked them up on ebay the one day and they were $60.

I don’t think you necessarily have to look for creeks. I’m over in grand forks and you can trap them in big ditches up here.

Suspen-dots do the job for a little while until they peel off from hooks snagging on them then making the bait twirl. Any suspen-dots in front of the hooks are fine. Just wondering if anyone has had a permanent fix for adding weight without problems.

Pulling sticks. I usually use more weight so i get much better control on depth/placement without having lines dragging far behind the boat. Because the weight/resistance is partially loading the rod, i like my Quantum Smokes with a X-Fast tip.

What power rod and length do you like to use for pullin three ways with stick baits? Also do you use just regular lead teardrop sinkers or are there sinkers that you get more sensitivity from?

What kind of policy would your fishing gear, tackle, etc. be covered under?

By far my favorite boat of the show. May be a little biased coming from Minnesota’s most norwegian town. Hopefully this doesnt stop him!

What about wiggle warts?4 bucks for a plug seems like a steal and a half. Seems like older storm lures dont get much recognition or it may just be theyre secrets haha

Ive never had luck with jigs in timber no matter how snagless they’re supposed to be. I like fishing weightless plastics on a straight worm hook, EWGs seem to be more snaggy for me then a normal straight. If you need some weight just stick a few finishing nails in the bait

I’ve looked at many cranks in the same style. I was interested in the DT because of it being a balsa bait. Also I see berkley made a new one this year called the digger that looks interesting. As for square bills, has anyone tried the 6th sense movement. It looks like it has a mean hunting action. What’re your guys’ favorite square bills?

Is there a big difference in action? 9 bucks for a plastic bait like the arashis when a balsa like the DT is 7.

I watched that event tonight and to me it looked like he was throwing A DT in blue back herring.

What was the general area you guys fished? I’m not looking for coordinates or anything like that just wondering the area. From the little I know about the Miss, being from way up north MN, I see there are areas that dams keep water open and also power plants. Just wanna have a place to start.
