Sportsman’s license gets you fishing and small game. if you add deer hunting to your fun get a super sportsman, it gets you fishing, small games, trout, pheasant, state duck, and deer

Only reason I haves book face is to see ice conditions because resorts stopped updating there regular websites. U can have it and accept no friends and use it for this only

Next time before ripping them check there page. They said they were not going to clean up there roads till Saturday at the earliest. They have giant 4-6 lane wide roads

I just got home. We crossed a little crack on the south not far from shore out in front of eddys went out about a mile or so flat black 5-6 inch of ice. Fished till sunset and all of a sudden we were 5 ft deeper. The GPS it looked like we moved a good 50 ft. We packed up in a hurry and headed for shore had to cross 3 cracks that opened up. Somehow we found a spot to cross on each one with spots where it opened a lot. Definitely won’t be fishing big water like mille till the entire lake is locked up in the future

There breakfast was superb but i quit stopping on my way home on sundays because the service was sooooooo slow get there at 9am order and get your food at 10am im not over exaggeration at all

Is definitely the travel conditions on mille why it’s so packed this year winni, leech lake and surrounding lakes are horrible from what i hear. Snowmobile traffic only slush like crazy

It’s been incredibly slow for me and my buddies prob 7 shacks the last 3 weeks. Fished north end flats/ first break/ sand flats been all over. It’s been 5-10 fish fri evening- Sunday afternoon. Just 2 to 3 fish a day. Talking in the bar with all the skid house owners been hearing the same thing. What’s been working for you? We’re tried tops transitions bottoms out in no man’s land…. it’s just been incredibly tough since that warm up 3 weeks ago

I do remember 10 years ago hitting the flats and catching tons of dink perch. That doesn’t happen anymore

Barnacles harbor is loaded with spottail shiners in the spring. You kick the dock and the whole harbor erupts it’s pretty cool. Got to be happening other parts of the lake???? Anyone witness this at other resorts?

You type alot thumper. There is no problem with the population of walleye on mille lacs right now. I take a pontoon out in may June and July and have no prob putting at least a hundred fish in the boat over the weekend.. and i mean every weekend. When we use live bait and i tell everyone to set the hook immediately and not wait. There is no reason to wait. I don’t think we killed one fish. Every fish tears away right when it hits the water. Everyone is mad because the fish are there in big numbers and they say we kill every fish we catch and it’s straight bs

I didn’t see any ir settings in the menus? I asked thorne about software updates when i bought the transducer they said don’t worry about them. If you do them wrong i guess you have to send them in to humming bird. That’s what they told me maybe I’ll just have them update it thanks

The quota is an imaginary poundage the tribe says we are allowed we will go over it regardless of winter harvest. The quota gets released in feb i think after the ice season. Pretty easy to go over something before they decide it

I hook my minnows in through the mouth as far back as i can and up behind the head. It doesn’t kill them and they stay on better and hook is farther back on the minnow for better hook ups.

My pup isn’t as steady as yours i guess all it takes is him turning his head. My dogs tail is always wagging even when sitting . It’s like a big white flag lol

Im in process of re grassing the front of my blind and making some kind of flip down extender to cover the pup. We get busted by birds because of him all the time. Front deck is the only place i could imagine having him. I’ll take some pics when i figure it out. Leaving for nd next fri hope it works out
