I have some grouse wings and tails that I would gladly share so you can get the pup on the right track.
    If you are interested.

I had the exact thing happen to my Silverado. A month old truck and coming back from a family trip to the Black Hills. Bought a bottle for my neighbors birthday, left it in the truck after unpacking, only to open the drivers door the next day to the smell of whiskey. Cork came out..
Cleaned what I could, an entire bottle of febreze, and airing it out. Smelled that whiskey for a month or so, it eventually went away.
    Sorry for your loss.

When? Will be tough finding places now. Start looking asap.

    March 19-23
I have been looking for the last month, it is toward the end of spring break.

I have a few places in mind and there are openings. Leaning toward the Marathon area but that could change.

I knew some of the IDOers have been there so I thought I would ask for their opinions.

    Thanks

I have thawed one out in a self serve car wash, reservoir and lines. Just make sure you can fill it with winter fluid and pumping the winter through the lines before leaving the car wash.

Paula Overby died early October but still got over 10k votes. Died after the ballot was printed and not able to have name removed. Makes a guy wonder how tuned in some voters are.

Maybe, just maybe they are tuned in and think that a dead person could not do any worse than the other two choices.. coffee

I carry a pretty big first aid kit for humans in the truck, mostly the same for dogs. Get a book or read online what you can used and can not use on a dog.
Saline is used the most for my group. Eye wash, ear wash, wound wash.
I also carry a cheap anti bite dog muzzle from amazon.
I learned no matter how much the dog loves you when in pain they can nip/bite their owner. It can also be used to stop a dog from licking wounds or tearing off gauze and wraps.
Also carry hydrogen peroxide, dawn soap, baking soda, small collapsible bucket. Carry the recipe for the skunk mix.
Hydrogen peroxide can be used to make a dog throw up also.

Will be adding a big zip tie or two to my vest.

I got my 2 quick this morning. Private land, no crops. 6 points, 4 hens, 2 roosters and 1 I could not tell if it had color. The dog did well.

Yep you are right, my portion did not go directly to the nurses who helped my family
I did do something for the staff who worked around the clock with my dad, not nearly enough but still it was something.

    Thanks

I will hunt private land in the morning for a couple hours, then head to the boys college lacrosse scrimmages for the rest of the day. Sunday we are four wheeling.

I will burn some pto and hunt during the upcoming week.

    Good Luck and be safe

Maybe the men and women that were actually on the FRONT LINES should have been considered for pay.

    After thinking about this more.

Please enlighten us on your definition of frontline workers. I am interested in who you think should have been considered for the money.

I did hear that anyone that worked in pharmacy’s did not qualify but I may have heard wrong.

Yep, IMO those front line workers should have gotten more.

But they are not the only ones that deserve something. People who fix the hospital equipment, the companies that changes their manufacturing processes to help make PPE, the truck drivers, etc.

Frontline workers went through HE double hockey sticks but DO NOT for one minute think they were they only ones who deserve a piece of this money.

And Yeah, I qualified but did not take it. I have freinds and family that are nurses and heard their horror stories. I lost my father to Covid, the nurses that broke the rules for me and my family by allowing us to say goodbye deserved my portion.

For everyone that received their portion, go enjoy it, spend it on something fun, you all deserved it.

Wife and I spent the last week exploring Michigan and Wisconsin. We hiked quite a bit and ran into enough grouse to keep it entertaining.
Last night, I was putting my 2022 hunting grouse hunts on our calendar. Mapping new areas, regards to tree type and growth ages. Getting excited for the long walks and watching my pointer work the edges.

I love it when the grouse flush, land in a tree and intensely watches the dog do his thing.

When I was a kid it never bothered me, but as an adult I’ve been covered in head-to-toe hives with a full reaction after walking through a giant patch in the dark….not cool lol

My story is just the opposite. I got it head to toe in the winter as a junior in high school. Missed 2 weeks of school because of it.
Since then I get one or two bumps and that is it. I get those normally in the fall grouse hunting from the oil transfer from the dog.

I once heard a comedian say:
“Golf, a waste of land, water and time”
I laughed out loud when I heard it.

I play less than ten times a year, my company lets us play charities and a few times with friends.

Enjoy your time out in the sun Sharon!!

Mine used to do that also, but I learned how to thin the fruit just before the bloom, they produce apples every year now. When a tree produces that much one year it takes a year of recovery, thinning makes it easier on the tree and produces bigger apples yearly.
