This is about to turn into a green sunfish thread, and it’s fun. But I’ve collected hundreds of these while being paid for it, and they are common shiners.

That illustration is poor, scrawny representation of a common shiner.
February 6, 2023 at 3:01 pm #2179369I think the OP’s mileage is a bit low. I have an 18 with that engine. The worst I’ve seen pulling an enclosed trailer is 9 mpg at 80 mph into a headwind.
December 24, 2022 at 8:57 am #2169111That’s the Polander Lake habitat project built by the Coprs of Engineers.

October 16, 2022 at 10:51 am #2153011Yeah, 6 inches at 20 is a lot. And musky Ed is correct on the direction to move your rest, but I’ve often found that the opposite is sometimes what is needed. I think you need to start with paper tuning field points, then go to the broadheads.
October 16, 2022 at 7:17 am #2152983You likely are under spined, but I would try moving your rest first (tuning). How far away are you shooting with your broadheads hitting 6 inches left? My guess is that you would move your rest to the left about 1/32″ at a time, and recheck to bring your groups together, and then adjust your sight. If that doesn’t work, try moving the rest the opposite way. If that doesn’t work, then you may need some more help.
October 14, 2022 at 8:08 am #2152596Cam phaser will rattle right at cold start up after the truck has sat a day. I just had mine done in my 18 with the 3.5 eco. That was the first problem I had with that truck and it has about 50k miles. It was under warranty and ford knows this is an issue and may have extended the factory warranty to cover it.
I also had a 12 crew with the 3.5 and put 150k on that with no problems.
Pull the same size stuff you do and it does real well with plenty of power, but it will suck down the gas when towing.
September 15, 2022 at 6:22 am #2146825I have a 318 with loaded ag bar tires and mow a slope. With those tires that tractor almost never slips, even backing up the hill. I had them filled with Rimgard at an ag tire shop.
August 8, 2022 at 3:48 pm #2140152If you buy bait Lucky 7 is a handy place to get it. They are in Cambridge.
August 8, 2022 at 3:47 pm #2140150Try to bait at the same time every day, preferably at the time you would enter your stand. For bait, I prefer cookie dough if I’m not packing it in far because it is heavy. It holds up well to rain though. I also use spray bottles with immitation vanilla and liquid smoke. Spray it up in the trees to draw them in. Black bears aren’t hard to kill if you get both lungs, but for your first I would recommend a gun. Then get it out and skinned and cooled fast. It it my families favorite game meat and my kids even requested it for birthdays.
March 23, 2022 at 6:13 pm #2110337I did it years ago on an older simpler fish finder. That splice lasted ten years until I sold the boat. Soldered the connections and replaced the shielding with aluminum foil and heat shrink tubing. I’d at least give it a shot before buying a new one.
December 12, 2021 at 9:36 pm #2080971I think I had the same issue if I and understanding you. I cut the back half of the hex socket off with a cut off wheel, and then used a wrench over the hex end to turn it. That gave me enough clearance to get the hex bolt out. If that explanation is unclear, I could send a pic.
November 22, 2021 at 9:14 pm #2075864Boil, peel and slice as said above, but then salt and sear both sides in a blazing hot cast iron pan. Better than rib eye. If you dice that, it makes the best tacos too.
November 19, 2021 at 11:05 am #2074946I have a .25-06 in a Ruger no. 1 and I love it. Killed lots of deer with it and a speed goat. I shoot Accubonds in it.
November 17, 2021 at 6:29 pm #2074444I had lower unit work done at Warners this summer and they were great to work with.
August 10, 2021 at 9:46 am #2053706I actually meant the vipertrick, not the razortrick.
I think the magnus stinger is a good head, but I don’t understand how the serrated buzzcut could be better than the standard edge.
August 10, 2021 at 9:38 am #2053700I’ve been using the 100 grain slick tricks for years. They fly straight, are tough, and leave good blood trails. The razor trick would be even better for penetration and I would probably switch to them for elk and have had my kids use them.
May 30, 2021 at 8:19 pm #2039886Headwaters seat covers in Montana. They aren’t cheap but they fit very well and you custom order them. I’ve had three sets and they are worth every penny.
May 28, 2021 at 10:41 pm #2039665Had a 2012 3.5 ecoboost I bought new. Put a 150k on it. Loved that truck and had no problems with it. It did need plugs every 50k, but that’s easy. Now have a 2018 with the same engine and it is also a great truck and trouble free so far.
May 28, 2021 at 10:41 am #2039561I’ve been using one of these for years. Very durable and works perfectly for what you are asking for.

They might be able to repair that weaver for you. Probably expensive, but it sounds there is some real sentimental value in that gun. I haven’t ever bought anything from them, but have thought about it for an older rifle.
October 28, 2020 at 8:07 pm #1983424Maybe someone should read the report to get some answers, rather speculate and assume.
April 20, 2009 at 1:24 am #769791If they are moles, you got a lot of good advice already. If they are gophers (big piles of dirt in the yard), you need a cinch gopher trap (google it). Took me 3 years to figure out that was the best way to kill pocket gophers when I moved up here.
