    I

If I was to buy one today it would be the bushnell trophy cam.

I just bought a Bushnell trophy cam hd max. Only had it a few weeks. Seems to be working well so far.

Think I have 5 or 6 cuddebacks at home that do not work. Will not buy another. When they work like they should they’re great, but that isn’t often. If you want a quality cam that won’t let you down, buy a Reconyx. You spend more to begin with, but worth it in the end, and made in the USA.

Has been a very slow start to the season for me. Haven’t even seen a small buck yet. We have been seeing doe’s with fawns but not much for bucks. Only buck pictures are in the middle of the night lately. Rut don’t seem to be cranked up, but don’t think this weather is helping us any either.

I have had bad experiences with cuddeback and Moultrie. The reconyx cams are excellent! The downside is the cost, but they have great battery life, excellent trigger speed as well as great customer service. The best part is they are MADE IN THE USA!

I seen a doe with a little one in a clover plot I can see from the house this past weekend. First one I have spotted so far this spring.

Nice! I planted 3/4-1 acre this year. Do you use a 2 row? And yes between food plots, mineral, and corn, beans and alfalfa for the winter I don’t even want to figure out price per pound.

Just wondering what everyone’s favorite colored jigs are for leech walleyes?

    Fellegy and Bob,

What is the ice situation up there currently? What would be your guess as to when and if they will be able to get the nets in ? What are dates when they typically rape the lake with the nets if they can?

    Thanks,
    SKTR

The ice definitely got darker yesterday. Won’t be too much longer now. I seen the glifwc trucks and boats yesterday, so won’t be long.

    Ben,
Have you had a chance to chase any slabs?

I’m guessing that they use the same shaft as the solo’s. The shaft is coming out of the gear box, it’s not the actual crankshaft on the motor.

Awesome show! Now I really wish we would have made a trip up there and given it a try. We troll salmon and trout every spring but this looked like a whole lotta fun.

I hear ya. I had a Tecumseh lazer mag-awesome! We had a garage fire and I lost it. I then bought a solo lazer mag and have had nothing but trouble. Should have known better when the first one locked up before even using it, had to trade for a different one. Now I have a Honda lite 10″, and i’m hoping I made the right decision buying that. Probably should have went nils. My question is what is the best place to take my lazer to have it worked on? Drock is a little farther than H2outfitters, is it worth driving the extra.

    Marcum,
Not looking for specific spots, but what type of areas did you find the perch in? Bowstring can be a fun lake to fish. PM me if you would rather.

I have to agree that the Tecumseh motors seemed far superior. I have a 2.5 hp lazer and currently it will only idle if you play with the choke-on and off. It will run fine wide open with the choke off. I pulled the carb apart and cleaned it and it got better for awhile, but went back to how it was. I cleaned the carb once more, but didn’t help at all. I have a Honda lite now and haven’t dealt with the solo yet. My first solo locked up before I even had a chance to drill one hole and had to exchange. I would still have my Tecumseh if it hadn’t burned in our garage fire.

Are the recoil guides the best for anti-icing?

I would also agree. However living 20 minutes from the onamia store can be hard on the checkbook! whistling
