Thanks for all the ramp information? The bite still on or has the flow picked up from the melting? I am hoping to get out Saturday.

Even if the flow goes up they are still going to eat.

    True! ????

I see the Hidden Falls ramp picture above but on my phone it doesn’t really look open. Where are people launching to fish the damn area to the confluence?

    Hey, Joe-

Sorry for the delay as I haven’t logged in for a few days. I believe that he may have found one this past weekend but I will confirm. If not, I will let you know.

    Thanks.

The price sounds about right from what I remember him saying. Thank you very much for the info. I will see what I can come up with. Thanks again.

    Hey, Gary-

Thanks for the reply. I am trying to find a replacement for my father in law who lost his (I was involved in the losing incident). Attached is a picture that was just like his, not sure if this what you were thinking of making. I am going to try a little more and have a few other calls in out there to see if I can get my hands on one of the same. In the meantime, if you are able to make something just like this one, do you have an approx. cost?

    Thanks.

    Jeff

When I was a kid my uncle had something similar with an old army canvas tarp, the olive colored heavy ones. The range was in his basement and it was held up from the floor joists. It worked great for my youth bow but can’t imagine that it would hold up to something greater that 40lbs or so.

I like the idea of the sheet rubber or maybe even rubber roofing if you could find some used stuff. Separating two layers with a small space in between I would imagine would stop most reasonable compound speeds. Not sure how hard it would be on arrows though.

Good luck. Would love to see what you come up with you are done.

Another 21 inch Smallie on Senko.

Agree, great looking fish. Sure saw a handful of toads but couldn’t pull it off with the equipment we had. Either way, was a beautiful day on the water.

I wish I could report the same. We were out there yesterday and really struggled putting anything in the boat. We managed a few but nothing like we had hoped. We saw qyite a few fish in the depths you said but couldn’t trigger the strikes. If you dont mind, what were you using and what methods?

Hey, thank you very much for the quick reply. I am new to specifically targeting smallies so anything helps. When they are in the staging areas is it more of a tube/plastic bite or do cranks work better. A buddy (who is in the same new to smallie fishing position as I am) and I are heading up Sunday for the day and hoping to get into a few. Thanks again for the quick reply.

Side note, I also live in Savage, MN.

Well… It was a beautiful day! With that said it was a rather slow day for us. A small walleyes and a bass mixed in. Saw a few reasonable fish caught but all in all I would say it was rather slow. How did anybody else do?

Thanks. Not sure what the plan is yet. From what I can gather it doesn’t sound like it has been super at either spot lately. Planning on giving one of the pools a shot tomorrow so will post some updates if any successes.

Hey Everybody- I have been reading here for quite some time but finally figured I would join. I am trying to find some more recent reports from Pool 2. Has anybody been out recently? Is it more of a plastics or meat bite right now? I was out on Pool 4 a few weekends ago and it was slow, but meat was the ticket for the ones that did make it in the boat it seemed.

    Thanks.
