I bought MEGA live last spring, so have a few ice hours on it but not a ton. Only managed a couple days of open water fishing so never bothered to use it in the boat.

The more I use it the more I like it. It certainly makes fishing more interesting, as you have much more information in your face compared to a traditional sonar. My next trip out is going to be focused entirely on learning the forward facing mode to find weed lines, structure, etc.

Is it worth it? Probably not. It’s a glorified (and expensive) toy but whats the point of working if you can’t have a little fun with the income.

I use a peanut butter jar with an LED light strip stuck around the outside (with the extra stuffed inside). Hang it form the center and have a wire run with spade connectors so I can take it down. Total cost was about $8 not including the peanut butter (JIF Chunky but thats not important).

    Very bright, cheap, and durable.

I’ve also been looking pretty consistently over the past few weeks, haven’t found anything. Also no response from Frabill’s website comment section.

Drudging up an old thread here but has anyone had issues with the aerator on their magnum bait stations? Mine lasted about a month and I haven’t been able to track down a replacement one.

Posted that they expect the website back up today.

I will say I have been happy with Frostbite’s customer service. The first rod they shipped had a broken eyelet, I sent them a picture and they sent another out without question. I’ll be ordering from them again when I need another rod.

My pistol bit fits in my older digger carrier. It is a tight fit but it clamps and stays put, I do add a bunjee strap to the other end.

I managed to seize up a DeWalt 20V (not brushless) last spring, probably had about 35 holes drilled when it went. Had plenty of power though! doah

I have a probably un-related problem with a big buddy heater as well…..

Will run on propane bottles for about five-ish minutes and then shut down dead, not peter out but go from full on high (or whatever settings it was on I’ve tested all three) to off. When running off a large tank it doesn’t do this.

Mr Heater also told me to clean it, which I did, and the problem persisted.

    Anyone have any ideas??

Wonder if the gas sensor is getting tripped and killing it? Do you have ventilation in your house?

Used it in an Otter Lodge, Clam hub, and just the floor or my garage. Does the same thing every time.

I bought an LED strip light from amazon and stuck it around an empty peanut butter container, stuffing the excess inside the container. I hang it from the center of the hub and have spade connectors so I can disconnect the light but leave my wire strung up in the hub all the time. Total cost was about $9 (not including the peanut butter) and time spent about five minutes (again not including the eating of the peanut butter).

Not my original idea, can’t remember where I saw it done first (probably on this forum a few years ago).
