Bear X constrictor is $450 ready to hunt.(Bolts, practice tips, sling, quiver, lighted scope.) The thing shoots absolute laser beams. Reviews are very high everywhere you look. Got it to start to teach my kids about shooting. My 5 year old ten ringed the target right out of the box 30 yards. Energy is crazy as it almost blew all the way through my block! I’m sure there are nicer ones out there.. but for $400 this thing blew my mind.
Very compact when cocked.. if you were hunting with it.. it would be very nimble.
No problem. Tons of room still on my 2200 with 2 12s on the dash.
Dont do it. If you ride on the trails.. good chance you’ll end up on your roof. Lots of good mainstream SxS out there for 11k.
Last year this time of year… my Polaris Dealer was selling new 2019 Ranger XP 1000s for $12,999.
Everything is up a couple thousand this year due to the “covid 19 outdoor recreation purchasing craze”
Tikka T3 Stainless probably just at the top of your budget.. the blued version probably could be found for $550-$600.
Absolutely a tac driver, great value.
Hawk stands are very nice. Aside from Millennium… IMO they are one of the most comfortable ones out there. I have a few Hawk Kickback LVL’s.. They are comfortable enough for all day sits and squirrels don’t chew em. Id imagine the Ladder stands would have even more room and be more comfortable than the Hawk hangons.
Already have been hearing about some Minnesota kids coming over here to South Dakota to play football this fall.. and then go back to play their home state season in the spring.
If you trying to go to the next level, 1 whole “extra” football season than some others is definitely a leg up.
Hard to believe that the “land of 10,000” regulations would allow that, but its probably so new and with all the changes and challenges.. they wont know until its too late..??
The next town over from me is IOWA. (about 15 miles). We are awaiting to hear if they cancel or move their season over there… to see if we are going to see a influx of kids that want to jump the state line and play ball.
-WE MIGHT NEED MORE JERSEYS!!!-
Caught 65 fish in basin (Sat-Mon AM) and all the fish looked great. Some were football shaped. Clearly some fish have adapted to a different bait or a different feed pattern than some others, because there is definitely a huge population of thick ones in the lake.
57 of 65 were at or over 20″. 26.5″ was the biggest one we got. 17.75″ was the smallest.
Definitely need to harvest some of the 20-22″ during ice season IMO. They are dominating the lake.

Shimano Tekota 300 or 500 lead. Had the old ones and didnt think it could get any bette…then I tried out the new model—mind was blown with the performance. and switched over everything to the new model right away. Wife didnt understand why I needed 12 new Tekotas to replace the old Tekotas..hahaStill have the old ones?
Sorry.. dumped them to buddies pretty quickly. 12 line counter reels is not out of the ordinary for South Dakota and Erie.. 6-8 lines out at once is not uncommon out here.

Just spray it and you’ll be fine, they’ll probably shoot up after some competition is knocked out of there . After a week you could replant some weak areas with more beans via broadcast and cover or rake them in. OR you could wait and plant a fall food plot in those areas at the end of summer.
Its a pain in the rear, and will likely end in a huge mess.
Much easier option if your goal is to have more rods out is to run 15’ers out the sides and 5’ers out the back and then 2 snap weight rods on braid straight under the boat. Way easier than boards with leadcore.
If your goal is get away from the boat because spooking fish… Use braid and boards and deeper cranks. IMO
I talked to Mark Courts on this issue of water in the rear compartments. The issue is indeed caused by live-well water splashing around and making its way through the aluminum decking and into the side compartments. He said, what he has done the past two years on the 2200 is take the rear deck off and caulk around the top of live-well. He said once he sealed the top of the live-well and screwed down the deck top back on…. Problem solved.
He said a dealer will likely do this for you under warranty, or that it takes about 60 minutes to complete the job yourself if that sounds like something in your wheelhouse of skills.
Curious since I have a few Legend Extremes what have they changed, I did not think they could get them any better. When I first got them I really did not like the split grip but now that I am accustomed to them I like it.
Talking with Croix they said they are just a tiny bit heavier than the old model.. but I guess the sensitivity and feel is jaw dropping. Like holding on to a lighting bolt when you get bit he said. I dont know how you can improve over the old model but I they say they did. We shall see.
Storm GT360 search-bait is great bait to throw in flooded timber or weeds. Less snags if you are finding that you are getting snagged alot with a shallow crankbaits.
At times walleyes will hit your bait even before you can close your bail after a cast. Can be an absolute blast.
There is a bunch of that around my fish house on Mille Lacs…it strategically grows all around the power post, so every time I got to plug in it always tears the hell out of my leg. Never flowers or has berries either.
And if you got pants on it will literally stop your leg mid walk. Strong stuff.
I’d drop the boat and demand a demo, your $, or let them know your factual smear campaign will be started on online forums, social media, etc about their handling of the situation and the $hitty quality at the manufacturing level.
“Demand demo, demand $.. OR ELSE… smear campaign” = definition of threats
Yes.. I have plenty of legends rods as well.. but was referring specifically to the new model LEGEND EXTREMES that was just released at the classic last month.

I highly doubt that making demands, smear campaigns, and threats will get you the desired results. Sounds like the dealer is working to fix any and all issues. Albeit very small issues. Being mad that you couldn’t get your boat in for small issues during a 100 year event COVID-19 lock down.. who’s fault is that? NO one wanted to be closed for 2 months.Every new boat will have a few of these little things. Its on the dealership to tie up any loose ends.
Picking your dealership is nearly as important as picking your boat. That’s why I always pick THE BOAT CENTER. They have water tested each and everyone one of my new boats to make sure they are water tight, all pumps and valves are working properly, motors, electronics..ect. Hell, they even drove 4.5 hours to pick my boat up and drove it back to their shop one time. 9 hours round trip for them.
I would cut your dealer some slack. They are probably behind the 8 ball with the shutdown. Sounds like they have been so far addressing your small issues. Maybe jot down your list of small annoyances, go fishing all year… then give them the boat in September/November with your list when your done for the year. Then you will have a boat. Don’t drive the boat to them every time a screw needs tightening. Skeeter has like 20 straight Customer Satisfaction awards in a row. They will handle ANY issues… but for now..Just Go Fish.
Some people’s expectations when they spend ~$70,000 are slightly different than mine. Businesses need to be held accountable. This has nothing to do with the lockdown. It has more to do with the fact that a boat with these issues was allowed to leave the factory and the showroom with payment received.
Again, this is the classic case of the squeakiest wheel getting the grease first. Stay on them and hopefully everything is resolved sooner than later. Don’t feel obligated to be the jolliest customer. That time period has come and gone. Don’t hesitate to share your experiences either for the sake of other anglers looking to purchase boats.
Bucky- If a leak in the wash down system and a couple of turns of a screw warrant a “smear campaign” out of you…… and that is outside of your expectations for $70,000… than maybe you better stick to maybe a 1993 crestliner or the like. Im sure you expectations would never be let down with a rig like that.
Advising someone to threaten a dealership or manufacture is childish. Grow up Peter Pan.

If you bleed them out. and then cut most the red meat out of the center line on the fillet and then cube them…. and batter and fry them..
you’d be hard pressed to tell the difference between that and the almighty walleye.
Good news is Riverruns ….
your Busch Lattes are FULLY stocked.. lol
bacon and busch..
Would have been nice if they would have kept it open at least through the holiday. Resorts will take a big hit on that one.
LOL.. alot of fragile people out there.. they love hearing other’s opinions as long as it aligns with their own.
If not; complete meltdown
Calm down everyone. Trump2020 TrumpJR2024
Sweet. I was shopping for this. Ordered both. Got the charger for and booster for the price I almost was gunna pay for just the jump pack.
Thanks
One time the DNR guy checked me and I showed him my non-resident family license and I had to explain to him what it was. He had no idea there was such a thing…
It is a great deal!
