How many Packer fans does it take to change a light bulb?

    4. 1 to change the bulb and three to stand around talking about how great the old one was!

Mauer maybe changing spots, but his bat is worth keeping, also the local boy makes good angle. Hunter you keep. Morneau you keep, too good, too young! Santana, I could see going. As great as he is, you could get alot in a trade.

I agree that other teams have similar loses of talent from time to time. With UND probably about the closest to that of the Gophers. But if you ask around to fans of other WCHA teams what team they would most like to beat, other than the CC-Denver rivalry, I would venture that most would say the Gophers.

They have also faced some teams that play a defensive style of hockey. SCSU has a goalie who deserves to win the Hobey Baker award this year, and Michigan Tech has a team defense that doesn’t allow many goals anyway. I
I do agree that the offense hasn’t been the same since half the team returned from the World Juniors.

If you don’t think that the Gophers have a target on them every year, more so than other WCHA teams than I wonder what color the sky is in your world!

I remember Bunny’s! My Grandma lived about two houses down from there, and I went to church at Grace Lutheran right there on Southview.
Yep, I’m sure glad they phased out the service in the gas stations so they can sell the product cheaper…

That doesn’t look like much fun. They got 140 inches in 10 days. Including one day where they got 40 inches.

I thought he was very entertaining. I would hate to see them go country though. You need some rock and roll at halftime.

It really depends on what you’re using them for. If it’s for hockey, don’t skimp on the quality. You have to make sure they fit well. The biggest problem with new skaters and skates is fit. If they don’t fit, the kid won’t want to skate. Take him to a sporting goods store that will “bake” the skates. This is simply a process where they heat the skates, and then you have your son wear them around for a while. This forms the insole to the shape of your boy’s feet. This is important. Especially if you’re buying used skates. Otherwise they are probably formed to someone elses feet already, and wont be very comfortable. Make sure you do this whether new or used.
Having said this, I have had really good luck with Play it Again Sports. My son is in his 5th season of hockey, and 6th season of skating. He has only had new skates once. And that was because the association he plays for outfitted him in his first year.
PM me if you have any other questions. I have a lot of resources for you if you’re interested.

I agree, I’m just saying to get my fat up that hill would take a lot of work. Not enough sherpas in the world.

I agree with you 2fishy. I always thought they had to set there own equpment, ropes, tanks, etc. But it seems as if the Sherpas do all the work, and all the people have to do is pony up a ton of money, and walk up a mountain. It is not the accomplishment it once was.

But I guess my glass is half empty

I don’t know. I am sure it’s simpler now, than back in the day, but I think there is a little more to it. That image of the dead guy on the mountain in that last episode kinda burned right into my memory. People are still trying it and losing.

RUSH, Ted Nugent, Alice Cooper, Kiss, Stones, Nazareth, Aerosmith, Segar. The mad rush for main floor center was a trip!

I’ve seen Rush 7-8 times. They always put on a good show. One of my favorites would have to be the Evening With Rush. THey played for 3 hours or so. Awesome in concert.

I saw Van Halen, Iron Maiden, Motley Crue, AC/DC, Kiss, Guns N Roses, etc back in the day. One of the best concerts I have ever been to is when Godsmack opened for Metallica a couple of years ago. Both groups put on an awesome show. The highlight was Godsmack doing a battling drum solo. The lead singer and drummer went toe to toe battling back and forth. Simply awesome.

And to think the Gophers are doing this without any of the 3 centers we were supposed to have starting for us this year.

Oh well, our loss is the NHL’s gain, again!

The Gophers don’t rebuild, they reload.

I like the Beaver Dam tip-ups also. I always know they will work. I don’t get out as much as I’d like, I have a kid in hockey, so I need to know that they’ll be ready to go.
