good report! I also noticed that we couldn’t pick up any bigger fish with the jigs / lindy rigs in this same area. I wonder what that’s all about?!
thanks!
May 18, 2009 at 12:15 pm #777499I think it has also sucked regarding current. I’m not sure if the rates are actually higher than years past, but it sure seems like it! I saw a few eddies off the ends of the wing-dams this weekend that would have scared me had I been in a dinghy.

I have not used yahoo!, so I cannot comment on that. However I have used a company called “bluehost”.
http://www.bluehost.com/
Their service is top notch as far as i’m concerned, with TONS of backend features at your fingertips and only $6.95 / month!May 12, 2009 at 10:09 pm #776184Sgt. Rock,
I can tell you a hundred different things to try… but it sounds like you’ve already made a good attempt at salvaging the operating system. I have dealt with these things dozens of times, and once a system is “infected” with a virus, it is almost impossible to get rid of it for good. It generally screws up your registry or other crucial files. That being said, I would make every push to save crucial files and reformat the HD and install a fresh version of Windows. I may seem like too much work, but believe me, servicing the same computer for hours on end or having it never clean up is much worse.
good luck!
-LukeMay 10, 2009 at 7:21 pm #775474waleyhuntr: that sounds like a fun time! If I would have had more time today I would have hit the wing-damns to get away from the zoo wake zone. I wonder if they were feeding before the cold front came through?
Pete: I actually forgot my rod & tackle-box in Menom, so i’m ready to go once or twice this week! I had to borrow the old man’s stuff today.

May 8, 2009 at 2:33 pm #775103wow thats a monster! Reminds me of one of those poor giant tortoises the little kids ride at the zoo. I hope a zookeeper never makes the mistake of putting one of these guys out there!!
May 7, 2009 at 4:40 pm #774802That’s kind of what I expected to hear…. thanks gents!
I’ll give a report.

I think another tool for CPR is the replica mounts. Their quality is the same if not better than a real mount. There is no reason to kill a trophy fish anymore.
Well put Ruger. I have a 28.5 real walleye mount from 12 years ago. I would definitely take some good pics and release it now adays.
May 6, 2009 at 1:39 pm #774370I think i’ll be getting out on the croix this weekend… i’ll be sure to give an additional update.
PS: nice stringer there!
December 18, 2008 at 12:09 am #729701this is kind-of a tough question to ask in a forum… I think you will run in to a lot of brand-dedicated people recommending only the brand they are dedicated to ignoring the rest. I think with most things that have an internal combustion engine, you are going to have good ones and you are going to have lemons. I think your biggest decisions need to be 2 or 4 stroke, hole size, and weight. After those three decisions, shop around and try to find a good deal!
Let us know how you fare.December 17, 2008 at 11:58 pm #729697I use Weather Underground as well. Their snow amount forecasts seem to be a bit more accurate than most.
