I figured them things would be coming in soon. Its that time of the year. Yes they give a good fight. We had been catching Crappies over there in the morning and in the evening. Last Tuesday I caught a little Walleye with a big Northren attached to it. The Northren let go when he seen the net.

I caught one 9 inches a couple of years ago on the sand bar in front of the fish hatchery. It was also about this time of the year. It had a few sores on it. I noticed a lot of the sunfish had sores on them at that time. Any way thats great. I am looking so forward to getting back up there this coming weekend its been a few weeks now so I’m hoping the fish are bitting well. Hows the mosquitos up there? They have been very bad here.

Yes the Lake was pretty clear again. I noticed a lot of floating weeds in some spots big clumps of them. Yes the Perch were kind of shallow. 2 of them I caught by that sand bar just east of the camp ground.

We stopped there and fished for a little while Saturday afternoon. Was looking for Crappies but did pick up 2 small Walleyes. We had a pretty productive day. We ended up with 3 jumbo Perch 3 White Bass and 2 Crappies that we kept and ate for supper tonight.

Well what a surprise. I seen this web site advertise on the news one night and thought I should check it out. When getting here I seen a familar face and topics on my favorite lake (Tetonka) and favorite fish Crappies. I usally don’t have any trouble finding them on Tetonka but this year I haven’t been able to find them like the years in the past. Thanks Hawger for sharing where you found them we will have to give it a try this weekend. Funny how it works we stay at the same camp ground even have the same kind of camper now.
