well I bought a honda CB 160 in my senior year, had it one month, had a close call scared me, sold it. Crashed as a passenger a couple of years later, 1968 Saw many horrific accidents as a first responder. Not for me, so much fun they are but in my mind a big but,

yep 343 Firefighters. As a retired mpls FF, think about it the whole dept in Mpls is 410 or so, it would be like nearly losing the whole force, sad day for all. I was on Lake Bemidji fishing that day, heard a brief report, thinking it was a general aviation plane that hit the towers, didn’t know the details till I got home

I was a FF in mpls for 27 years, medical emergencies which was the biggest portion of our calls, violence was always more on hot summer nights, Until there are consequences, nothing will change, glad I am out of there, Nice place to live and grow up in my time

my story, as a young guy had a flat tire on my 53 Plymouth, could not get the lug nuts off, tried and tried, bent the wrench, had to call a tow truck, he arrived and found out I had been tightening them all along!. chrysler products in those days had left and right hand lugs with a l or r on the end of the stud, I kind of knew that, but it was so rusty did not see that, Lesson learned

I use 1 or 2 buckets tied off the front cleats, works very well, when not in use, good for storing things, pee bucket, dogs water dish. Cheap, I use the smaller 3.5 gallon gallon size

My mom was a world class berry picker, me a blueberry eater. This photo was taken in the 50’s, our blueberry patch was just south of highway 2 near Bemidji, un fortunately it was leveled by the big Potlatch plant. Pies, muffins, pancakes, wow great it was

sure fire is trolling shad raps at night on Cass, many long bars to fish, you will see the lights of the boats. Very clear water makes it difficult in the day

FFS is a line in the sand I will not cross, yes I will catch less fish, but enjoy being on the water. They are legal and folks say how the fish scatter when approached, maybe they have always been doing that, just did not have the technology to see. But I do fear FFS on crappies in the winter could be devastating

I use a couple of 3 gallon pails as drift socks, cheap, do double duty for storage, water dish for my dog, pee bucket, get down to about 1.5 depending on conditions

we ate one once 20 years ago, smoked it. Was delicious but I would never do it again, too valuable of a resource, they do not mature till 20 or so years old. Also contaminants, think about it, as old as they get. So much fun to catch

He also told because of storm chasers ringing your doorbell and telling you all about your roof and siding damage is making a major hit on the claims

have a 185 and love it, almost went to the dark side with a windshield last purchase, but stayed with the tiller, works for me. Yes in cold and wind windshield will rule, but on those kind of days I will just stay on shore. I am a oldtimer
