If your interested, I have a lockable, twin gaslift, watertight, fiberglass model for $100. It’s on a 2002 Chev shortbox, silver in color. Solid. no cracks. PM me if your interested.
Spring on the way, saw 3-4 bluebirds on the property this afternoon. That’s the 2nd time I’ve seen them since the “deep freeze”.
Optima, Optima, Optima these are the best batteries ever. I’ve had mine 4 years and when I recharge them every 2 monthes in the winter they are ready in 15 min at 1.5 amps on the battery tender. Last spring I ran them for 3 days without charging while crappie fishing in the trees in Missouri. They’re lighter weight, never need water, don’t get corrosion on the terminals, and can be mounted in any position and don’t have to be removed in the winter lay-up. What more can you ask for? I liked the trollers so much, I bought an Optima starter batt for my rig also. A#1
Yes, I did use to run the Trend anti-virus for several years, with excellent results. However, a computer eng. that I trust, suggested AVG. I really like this because once you load it, it’s maintance-free, works fantastic, tailorable to your needs, and FREE.
The reason that you keep getting error codes on the ad-aware updates is that they are no longer supporting the SE version and they want people to convert to the new Ad-Aware 7 version. If you go to the Ad-Aware website/forum they go into detail about not being able to afford to keep two systems running. In my opinion, they cancelled the wrong one.
I just bought a ’07 150hp Opti. I was told to mix 2 Tbls. Merc Kwikcleen and 2 Tbls. of gas preservitive (stabil or seafoam) in the gas filter/water seperater. Run motor for 10 min. at idle with the ears on and Kwikcleen mixed in the main gas tank. Do not use fogging oil on Opti’s as this can plug injectors as it sits all winter. Instead squirt 1 oz engine oil or a 5 sec blast of Merc store and seal in spark plug holes. Rotate motor with wrench on flywheel, I like to do this say once a month on the off season just so the impeller doesn’t set in the same place for 4-5 months. My mechanic said to allways run Merc Kwickleen year around as the injectors are quite sensitive to fouling, maybe not initially but 3-5 years down the road. Bottle treats 72 gal. of gas about $15. Small price to pay to keep up performance, injectors cost mucho dinero to clean professionally or replace.
There is ton of information here be it fishing, bird hunting, deer hunting or any activity outdoors. Not to mention alot of nice, helpfull people.
My setter got into a nest of ground wasps last year. I feared her throat would swell shut, after treatment at the vet, they told me if it happens again to give her a Benadryl tablet. Now I always carry some afield and in the house, I’ve had to use them twice since for stings. Luckily it’s worked and reduced the swelling rather quickly. By the way she weighs close to 70#, best to call your vet for doseage on other weights.
Me too Anybody got a ’79 – ’85 Merc 9.8 hp shortshaft. Maybe a later Merc/Mariner 15hp shortshaft?
I know it’s a big river, but I would respect a boat working a wingdam, and find one of my own to work. In your instance, I would troll a crank in the opposite direction between him and the wingy, mayby he’d get the message.
A similiar situation happened to me last year. I was running in weeds and several small pieces were sucked in and caused a thermostat to hang up. Pull your stats and check them, it doesn’t take much to foul them, a piece of weed, grains of sand, etc. Good luck to ya
Thanks to all for the hearty wellcome. Perhaps I can give a little back to all that have given ‘gems ‘ of info through the years.
