Not a bad night last night. All three caught over 50”. A 55”,54”, and 52”. The 54” turned into a real s&%t show. Wrapped in anchor got caught on transducer for a brief moment and my st croix rod broke. Well worth the story though.😂

I would check out Fred’s Bed’s. Nels is the guy who owns it and he goes out of morris point. I have been going out in his sleepers for about 6 years and he takes really good care of us. He has since built some cabins to stay in if your not interested in sleeper shacks. They sleep 6 max. Brand new and very nice. Here is his link. https://www.fredsbedslow.com/

What about the ferry landing Wisconsin side? I know Minnesota side unless you park on ice there really isn’t a spot to park by the ice road exit. Typically you have to park on ice. I just hope it’s ok. Really want to get out on the Minnesota side one last time for the elusive sturgeon!

Ok good to know. Just was curious with warm temps tomorrow if the shore edges would be good. Couple guys at work made me question. Thanks for the feedback.

Was up there all day Friday and Saturday and did very Well. Went out of Morris point and caught between 85-95 walleye/sauger. Majority were sauger but got our share of good walleyes. I guess the cold wasn’t a factor for us. Biggest was a 21″ Walleye. Kept our limit between 4 guys. 90% were caught on deadstick. We brought up Shiners and rainbows and they worked great. Talked to another group that was up for the same time and they only caught 4. Not sure what they did wrong but if they were just using fatheads that could have been it. Good luck to all!!!

One other thing is someone told me you can get on the lake on the north End. I have never been out there. Can someone help me out with directions to north end access?

Have used Freds Beds the last 4 years. Nels is awesome and will accommodate you with tv, dvd, pizza oven, dvd’s and whatever else you need. I would check with him.

Give Fred’s Beds a call. Nels is a great guy and checks on you a few times a day to see how it is going. Used him this year and have had a buddy use him several times. Nice clean shacks too.

Well the bite was slow . Nothing bigger than 17″ and that was a sauger. Caught about 35 to 40 in two days. Can’t wait to go again next year! Thanks for all the info.

I have heard lots of bass. There always fun to catch but I am really planning on fishing for eyes. I will definitely do some night fishing with slip bobbers. We’ll see. Thanks for the advice!

Great advice! Thanks. We are staying at spider lake resort. Dean is a great guy. some of my family have been going up there for many years. I have heard the crappies are biting again and have seen some pictures of some really big muskies. I have also seen pictures of nice walleyes caught up there. I think it should be a fun time. I will report back hopefully with some awesome pictures of some big fish. Thanks again everyone!!
