From a purely entertainment standpoint this season is a blast but I just can’t shake the idea that they’re a paper tiger.
The Eagles have the Cowboys and Giants twice still. Home field sure would be nice!

Water levels are normal. Just got back yesterday from Namakan. Stayed on MY Island. Fishing was good with bottom bouncers/spinners and fat heads or crawlers in 28-34 ft. Jigging Raps worked on the slots if you could locate them. Most fish came off of mid-lake humps. Only caught a few slot fish but the eaters were plentiful and lots of 8-12 inchers. Bring bug spray, the mosquitos are nasty. Good Luck

Thanks for the report! I need to get a island!
Hopefully they’ll be good winds at sundown to beat down the skeeters.

The FW and I are heading to Sandpoint this Saturday and will be camping at Swanson Bay. I assume water levels have gotten back to normal. VNP is one of my favorite places to go, I’d love to buy a houseboat there!

I don’t understand how Sean Mannion has a job AND continues to get valuable reps. He is terrible.

You’re right, he’s awful. His stats even in preseason games are not very good, and when he has to come in for Cousins during the regular season, its a complete train wreck.

Luckily, Cousins is a very durable QB. He rarely gets injured. But if Mannion has to take over at some point, its going to get really ugly, quickly.

If Mannion is #2 (pun intended) on opening day I’d have serious concerns with the new staff.

Been flying quite a bit lately, no major issues. Mostly AA and am working my way way up the status pole. Slowly learning the system, air pods and downloads are your friend.

One time they said we needed to de-ice – it was 50 degrees outside lol.
Stay away from Delta they are struggling, most cancelations.

BTW – love Clear!!! Walk right in front of the TSA people.

I’m flying Delta to Charlotte next week, fingers crossed.

From Sienfeld…”you know how to TAKE the reservation, you just don’t know how to HOLD the reservation, which is really the most important part of the reservation. “

I’m 61 and retired and am taking advantage of the low prices. Everyone likes sales, well the market is having a sale right now. Like Grouse said, too many folks buy & sell at exactly the wrong time. Don’t let fear drive your decision making.

Thanks for the replies I wanted black but I’m color blind the black on a green tree back ground or black asphalt blends in so white is best. Yes they make them but I need the 60 inch guide posts not the 40 I measured today and would have to cut the pipe on the new one almost $200 just to hack up. I like the Bobber Idea

Black would make no sense, so you can’t see them in the dark when you really need a marker. The white is the way to go

put a couple 3M red & white reflective strips on them, your reverse lights will light em up!

I have a bad back and like my Motorguide. Whatever one you end up with, keeping the shaft well lubricated makes a world of difference.

My buddies kid plays soccer and they constantly travel. This weekend they’re off to Illinois and has to take Friday off. It also means he won’t be able to Celebrate Father’s day with his other kids. The funny thing is when they travel for these tournaments they end up playing other St.Paul teams even though there are teams from all over.
Tough to be well rounded when the majority of their time is spent either practicing or traveling for “tournaments”

belletain, have you ever been out to DC to see the wall and your brother’s name? If the answer is no, then I can see how you feel this way. Trying to honor just the brave men and women of our country who died for it, is NOT WASTED ENERGY!!!!

I have & I’ve been out there on Memorial day weekend. It’s the most solemn of the war memorials, can hear a pin drop. Wasted energy was a bad choice of words. I understand where people are coming from, honestly.

Rather than get upset, just take a minute and explain to them what Memorial Day is for. They mean no harm by it.

I agree, every year there’s guys that get bent out of shape over it, a lot of wasted energy if you ask me.
…and my brother was killed in Vietnam.

The Packers reportedly offered him the same money but he opted to want out. I don’t think Rodgers contract had anything to do with this. Adams turns 30 this season. It’s probably not the worst situation for the Packers. Julio Jones and Landry are still on the market + the draft picks all for cheaper than Adams.

Jordy Nelson, Greg Jennings, and James Jones all pulled the same move to find out the grass isn’t always greener. He’s going to make a ton of money in LA. He’s not going to see many playoff games though in that loaded division.

Certainly not the end of the world for the Pack, but to think he’d pick Carr over Rodgers, even with his history with Carr, blows my mind. Makes you wonder if they really did offer him the same amount of money.

he’s a twentysomething millionaire, two words, VEGAS BABY! yay

Wow! I thought someone put acid in my prune juice! Big time splash by the twinks. Biggest money in league history for a infielder I heard?

The wife and I drove over to Fargo and caught it. Had a good time but man pontoon prices are crazy high! I think it makes perfect sense to put a 400hp on a boat that has a designated bar area!

Has anyone tried real frozen leeches for perch or gills? I find them often in <strong class=”ido-tag-strong”>perch stomachs ice fishing. Might be soft but great action.

Didn’t even know they sold frozen leeches.

probably a DIY thing in summer.

Wouldn’t a little surveillance have been helpful in this situation??

Whatever happened to a good old fashioned police stake out in an unmarked car with coffee and five packs of cigarettes?? What’s wrong with a positive ID and arresting them on the street?

They completely dropped the ball again.

It cost an innocent man his life and will cost the tax payers MILLIONS of dollars. Go team

I had this exact conversation with BW over the weekend. Sit outside, positive ID, then take him down. Gotta be easier and safer to grab him walking out of the door then busting in.

Not a big fan of Al Sharpton or Jesse Jackson. They exploit situations like this to line their pockets.

You could add Ben Crump to this group too. Technically he’s a civil suit lawyer but he’s looking to do the same thing.

Crump is the top opportunist out there now. At this point Jackson is basically just someone they wheel around.
Crump is stuffing his mattress with millions of taxpayer dollars. If there’s not a cop involved then there’s no government money to go after.
Mpls is morphing into Baltimore. Patrons stop going downtown due to danger causing restaurants, bars & other establishments to close. Then the check cashing stores and other low income businesses start moving in taking advantage of low lease rates.
No matter where you are on the political spectrum, it’s happening.

Man are people losing their minds over the Vikings not hiring Harbough (on Twitter).

I gotta follow you on Twitter! Twitter doesn’t get talked about on this site much but I love it for quick news. Like it or not, in cases like the Vikes coach hiring, Twitter is going to have news the fastest.

I’ve been kicking around joining it but I still think FB is contributing to the downfall of society!

I’m glad Harbaugh’s not coming here, I just don’t care for the guy. I’m gonna speculate here, mainly to p.o. Dutch, but I think he wanted a bigger part of football operations than the Vikes were willing to give him with a new GM coming.

My expectations are fairly low. I’d be happy to see an OC stay here for two years. I think they’ve had like 7 in as many years.

This is mainly why I think Rodgers either retires completely, stays in GB, or forces his way to another NFC team. Him going to the Broncos or any AFC team as everyone brings up just drags him into a tough schedule and a tough path through the playoffs.

    or #4
Comes and plays for the Purple.

Way to hedge your bets EPG!

Rodgers is a first ballot HOFer no doubt but he’s mediocre in the postseason for whatever reason. If not for beating a Joe Webb led vikes team he’d be at roughly .500.

And the problem still is in the hand that is not fixing it and yes you guessed it the Parents. Parent first friend second.

The father of the young man killed is in jail for threatening the judge in the Kim Potter trial. Bad parenting is epidemic.

Its official now. Tom Brady has announced his retirement from the NFL after 22 seasons.

He did it the right way unlike some of the divas that announce their retirement at the beginning of a season and basically turn it into a farewell tour and soak in praise all around the country.

Many of his records will never be broken.

Couldn’t you refinance the student loans after graduation or are you locked in?

Is that a question for me belletaine? I graduated with about $5k in student loans from a state college and paid it off in 2 years.

I am not sure if refinancing is an option with student loans.

    No, just in general.

Join the Navy for four years, there are a myriad of great rates (jobs). You can then get a VA home loan, free medical for life.
A friend’s kid got out last year and is now making $80,000 as a aircraft mechanic.

We insisted that our kids move away for school, reason being that they learn just as much outside of the classroom.

Kids too entitled to live in a dorm?
It should say they’re too smart to live in dorms, incredibly expensive as opposed to renting a house with other kids, again learning more like paying bills.
