I was hoping to hit 60 mph, do you think the boat is a bit to wide and has to much surface area on the water to get that kind of speed? The SC1891 Warrior with 175 Merc. would hit 60mph. It also had a high five prop. I still don’t know what prop to put on the Yami! Any ideas?

Well everyone, if you read my above note, you know I went to Mille Lacs yesterday to fish muskies for the first time. Well it will not be the last!!! On my first trip out to chase muskies I was fortunate enough to land a 42″ very fat Mille Lacs musky!!! We also had a couple of other follows and I had one hit that I screwed up on and didn’t realize what was happening until to late. I see myself spending a lot of money this winter on musky gear. Look for the picture of my fish on fishthelake.com and what we were doing yesterday to see those fish.

No we were not down there this weekend and the warrior is green. I am actually going to Mille Lacs in the morning for a day trip. For the first time ever I am going only to try and catch muskies! It will be hard not to fish walleyes and maybe we will have to take an hour or so to try for them but can’t get over the huge muskies being caught up there. I have to try and catch one!!!! Working all weekend or else I would be there with you. Hey did you know Tom is getting married in Hawaii this week and his reception here is on Sat. at his folks place. If you weren’t heading north you should stop by and bull%$$@%! Good luck and call me on Wed. and I will let you know how we did.

It was actually caught 2 Aprils ago. This has been an annual trip for me for the last 6 years and will continue as long as there is a chance for this kind of fish!
