I’m onboard with the fee increase, our DNR services are 100% dependent on license fees. This begs the question, what about all who use our State resources. Bicycles, hikers, bird’ers, rock climbers? We are blessed with a stunning variety of outdoor resources, maybe it’s time for other groups contribute to DNR funding?

MNDOT uses Sodium Chloride, NaCl, is the most commonly used deicing chemical. Other chemicals used include, Magnesium Chloride, (MgCl₂) and Calcium Chloride, (CaCl₂), Acetates, and various blends of different chemicals. These materials can be harmful to the soils, plants, animals, fish and water.

There isn’t an official name change, but more of a new attitude toward “ the other native MN fish”. As with Burbot/pout we will likely see a gamefish bag limit. This appreciation of other aquatic species, could catch on.
My big concern with Funding is that it creates more funding streams for the legislators to pick off. $$ need to flow out of the general fund. MN Outdoors shouldn’t be funded just by fish and game licenses or park fees.

Thanks all, I boiled some fresh pout in 7up and water, then sautéed it in butter in garlic. It was great!

Over half were walleyes, a 19,17,16 the rest were OK. Saugers all 11-14. Two 1/2 days, my friend John and I out of Arenesen’s 22 keepers many dinks.
