Hey Guys – Brad Dostal is correct. As of January 2019 Weeders Digest is the official owner of the Jaws of Ice Auger Carrier. I know this because I work with them and was involved in the buyout process grin We are currently out of inventory (as of 4/24/19) but will have them back in stock within a couple of months or so. You can buy them from our website or on Amazon. BUT We have them priced significantly less on our website because Amazon charges outrageous fees that we have to adjust for. I hope this helps!

Her is the direct link to the Jaws of Ice:

Good to hear from you, and good to know. Best of luck to you guys in the transition.

I’d list it right now and mention that a new driveway is going to be installed at the same sale price listed. NOW you have a negotiating chip when they come in 5k under your asking price.. That way you can respond with “yes we will accept your offer but now the new driveway will not be included and you can take the savings you’re getting on the house and choose to put it in or not put it in. I’m not a realtor but your guy/gal should have already told you this )

I’m an agent, and this is exactly what I would recommend. Smart way to get the initial buzz for you house, and still have the opportunity to get a better deal for yourself…

…In general, the question of value is really in the eyes of the beholder…

IMO it makes very little sense to try to restore a gun in order to sell it…

Agree with both of these. Pretty hard to draw definitive lines about what increases the “value” of such a rare thing like that.

Ergo, statement #2. If it’s hard to conclusively say what adds more value to a potential buyer, probably not worth restoring it.

To me, my biggest factor in camping anymore ( I am 60) is being able to sleep….I guess maybe I am lazier as an old guy, but I sure like these new products.

As a younger guy, this is still true!

The other thing that is kinda overlooked but really helpful is wipes! Keep your hands clean and save the water!

Late to the party here, but looks great. Related to Davy Crockett on my mom’s side (as if it really be proven based on what little records we have!). Adding these to the queue…

You’re not the only one LindyRig.. I’ve had visions of doing a lot of stuff around the yard this spring. Problem being its still winter.. and now forecasting anywhere from 8″-24″ of snow this weekend.. I’m over it.. Its getting down right depressing. Thank God for my Erie trip next week!!

Exactly where I’m at. Lots of yard work to catch up on if I want to get out a lot this summer!

I haven’t seen a deer on opening day of WI gun season yet, and have 5 years hunting it. I have taken a doe every year but its always been after opening weekend except one which was the Sunday.
I have only seen one buck hunting gun season and never got a shot and then that buck was taken two days later by another hunter in the same woods I heard it get shot.

So I guess what you could say is I know the feeling of not seeing a lot of deer, or feeling like everyone else is somehow luckier.

Biggest advice I can give is use every map the DNR has, find every possible type of public land you can and hunt it. Also maybe try extending your season and by that I mean try bow-hunting or maybe add a muzzleloader to your arsenal and don’t be afraid to go out in antlerless only season or holiday hunt and find a doe or two DONT GET CAUGHT THINKING ITS ALL ABOUT A BUCK AND A BIG RACK. I’d personally rather take a doe at the end of the season and not see another person all day, rather than have 5 hunters walk by and move a big buck towards me and get lucky. (I would love for that to happen, but I would rather see no one else and it be just me and the deer I took)

What part of state are you in?

Some good advice here about archery, doe, and antlerless hunts. The hunting won’t change because we’re bummed about it. But we can probably find ways to make it more fun and expect less. Best of luck.

our lake the cabin is on, some of the fish have a lot of those black spots on. the fillets don’t. been eating them for 50 years and haven’t grown extra toes or fingers yet. nuttin to be concerned with in my opinion.

Like everybody else, I don’t worry and haven’t gotten sick. Mostly aesthetic IMO…

I think I would enjoy sports more if it wasn’t for all of the networks beating to death each week different drama within each organization. “Someone said this, someone did that.” Sports used to be about the game, but since drama fuels everything media related, it seems it’s never truly about the game anymore, just the drama off of the field/court.

Still love watching the games, but def agree. Getting tired of how slow football has gotten over the last several years too. People complain about baseball, but honestly, football can be every bit as slow now with all the stoppages, midfield conferences, long halftimes…. all that said, I’ll still be watching on Sun ;-)

Maybe this will make you feel better about humanity and nfl fans:

A group of Philadelphia Eagles fans are trying to show that not every member of their fan base is rowdy and confrontational.

According to Tim McManus of ESPN.com, a collection of Eagles fans have made donations to The Mike Zimmer Foundation as a gesture of good will after several incidents between Eagles and Minnesota Vikings surrounding last Sunday’s NFC Championship game.

The foundation has received approximately $7,000 in donations from Eagles fans since Sunday’s game. The foundation seeks to serve youth in Minnesota and was created to honor Zimmer’s wife, Vikki, who died in 2009.

While the incidents with fans were isolated events, the reputation has been earned through the decades. Whether it’s throwing snowballs at Santa Claus and others, cheering injured players or punching horses, a small subset of Eagles fans have sullied the fan base as a whole.

The group of people donating to Zimmer’s foundation are making a nice gesture to show the other side of the Eagles’ fan base.

looks like they took a play from the Vikings/Saints playbook… was cool to see Vikings fans raise $220,000+ for that…
