Thanks for joining me, Redneck, I learned a lot about dragging. We even caught a few!

What a beautiful night to be on the river.
Let’s do it again some time!

Thanks for the suggestions guys. I got 2 PM’s,which I replied to. Whoever wants it can come pick it up. It’s sitting on a trailer, and I would be willing to bring it to you within a reasonable distance. I am in the southeast Metro.
Oh, it also has tabs thru 2009.

I have to concur with the majority here. Fished 3-7 PM. Dam to Y and in the lock. 2 Bites, no fish. I saw 2 tiny walleye/sauger caught. Water Temp 36 in main channel and 41-43 on lock side. Has to start soon!

So where are some good accesses/spots to try if a fella has never been out on ‘tonka?

I hit the River on 3/17 from 2 pm to about 6. Fished the Wisconsin side across from Bayport Beach and then right in front of the beach. both about 32-33 FOW. Both spots had a lot of activity on the graph at both 20 feet down occasionally and consistently from bottom to 5 feet off. I tried minnow and plain hook, teardrops, angel eyes and other stuff but had a tough time. Wisconsin side produced one 10″ crappie on a tiny pink/white glow teardrop and waxie. The minnesota side showed tons of fish from bottom to 7 feet off right after drilling holes. I had four hits right away on a glow hook/minnow combo, but lost each after one turn of the reel. I think they’re down there, just didn’t seem too eager to bite. Ice is in great shape, 2 feet plus.
