I have heard some so called whitetail experts and biologist say that it doesn’t exist. That there is no space between the spine and lungs. Perhaps that is technically correct, but that does not mean that it is a deadly shot. I have seen pics of deer on trail cam that were hit in that location that obviously didn’t die. I sure don’t like hitting there, because it does not seem like sure thing that the deer will actually die.

I’ve been shooting single pin for 3 years, and i’m going to be switching to a 3 or 4 vertical pin sight. I love the single pin for target practice, but when it comes to hunting I often feel like I don’t have enough time to range, adjust the sight and get a shot off. Also the single pin doesn’t give me a very good frame of reference if i have to shoot without know the exact distance. With few pins i can shoot between the pins and know the very close approximate distance.

Combine the following to create a marinade
    1/3 cup italian dressing
    1/3 cup honey
    1/3 cup bbq sauce

Let chops sit in marinade for at least 1/2 hour. Then place marinade and chops into frying pan and simmer (medium low) until the marinade turns into a thick honey bbq texture. Serve with the sauce. Trust me, this is good and easy as it gets.

I guess what I’m hoping to hear some opinion on is whether other hunters believe penetration or damage potential is more critical. I’ve always believed penetration was more important. But these two factors are a tradoff. Great penetration, limits damage. And massive damage potential limits penetration. Which one would you consider more important?

I bought a tru-fire 4 finger release. I haven’t shot the bow with it yet because the bow has been in the shop getting new strings and cables. The few times I have drawn back with the hand held release, I already like the feel much better. I feel like I’m more “connected” to the bow. There is no slop when you get to full draw, becuause there is no wrist strap to stretch.

Nope, don’t him. Don’t want to know him. I had a police officer tell me once that the reason they catch so many criminals, is becuase most of them are dumb. I think that logic applies in this instance.

Thanks guys. I’m signed up over on the fishing side as well under the same user name. Been checking out these sites for years.
BTW, I drive past that deer farm everyday. I’ve seen him in the pen. That kid definitly won the gold medal for stupidity.

You have no idea how dumb this is. I live in Rushford and consider it a fantastic community. I just can’t believe any human would ever think they would not get caught. He posted the pictures the same morning he shot it. Just dumb.
