all fish have their followers. i don’t care what it is or where it came from.

i consider myself a follower of all fish, and you sir, have one fine catch there

as with bass, i’m really not much of a walleye fisherman. but i do enjoy fishing the fall bite

here’s one from last year, 22 inches if i remember correctly

and here is my only walleye of 2010 so far

You almost might have better luck trying to set the hook as soon as you get a tap.

well i tried today for a few hours with no luck.

i had something tapping on a crawler for a little bit, but no real bites.

tons of carp were breaching, it was insane

i will be back for sure. i liked this place

either of you guys mind sharing what you were using for bait? i’m heading down to the ruins tomorrow for the first time, and i’ll be looking for my first catfish.

i’m thinking i’ll bring cutbait and crawlers. sound good? hopefully this cold weather won’t mess anything up

ok so i’m going to try mill ruins for the first time this weekend.

is anyone else going to be there?

if so just look for the 6’3″ guy wearing a browning hat, that’ll be me. and i’ll be fishing with my dad.

i’m quite excited for this. i’m a little ashamed to say this, but i’ve never caught a catfish (except for bullheads of course). almost all the fishing i do any more is dedicated to catching as many species as possible in my lifetime. as of right now i’m at 40 species solid

those durn catfish have been eludeing me for way to long!

anyway, my name is ben erb so if you see me, feel free to approach me

the reason why i said greater was beacuse of the red on the dorsal fin

i’m 99% sure that that is a greater redhorse. a very rare catch! and that isn’t a giant greater redhorse, but it sure aint small!

I’ve only caught one greater in my life and its an experience that i will never forget

    congradulations on the awesome catch!

    @ ryan: yes.

there is a healthy population of both large pike and large browns in that little creek
