I have the exact thing on mine, an lx7. I threw some epoxy on it and it seems to be working fine.

I had an issue with my lx7, emailed Marcum on a Sunday and they got back to me in 45 minutes! GREAT customer service!

Last year was my first with my power auger. My 2nd time out I drilled 10+ holes with it and found fish on the 3rd hole. 30 minutes later some dude was fishing holes I hadn’t even checked yet. From then on I drill 3 at a time…

First time was when I moved back to Michigan after teaching in Southern California- 1998. Read a Woods and Water magazine, bought two tip-ups and set over the spot, on Reeds Lake, where I had caught my first pike in 1984. Sitting in a plastic chair I dozed off with my back to the wind and I woke to both flags pointing to the sky! Caught a pair of 26 inch pike and have been hooked ever since!

Guys, I have a question: I’m trying to buy rod seats for ice rods but don’t understand the 16’s and 17’s and there is no ID and OD in the Mudhole catalog for those. I don’t like their standard handle kits and am trying to customize a bit. Thanks!

Doug, thanks for starting this thread! I’ve been waiting to buy my new propane auger ’til after I had my shopping done for everybody else, but this deal was too good to pass up! Thanks again for the heads-up! $325 OTD for the Jiffy Lite propane auger from Dicks. Merry Christmas to me!

I don’t remember what it cost me but after trying to Velcro the unit in to no avail, it was worth it. I think I found it on Amazon. A guy on http://www.IceFishingMichigan.com suggested it and I’m glad he did!

I love the lx7 but really dislike the carrying case. It gets wet, isn’t balanced like the Vex black plastic carrier. I bought vex plastic carrier and put my lx7 on it. It’s perfect!

I loosened the Velcro today and that did get the front of the rail to hit the ground. Can’t wait to see how that helps on the ice when the wind hits it. Thanks for all the help!

So there’s enough space for me to re-drill the holes? I think I’ll try loosening the Velcro first!

I’ll try loosening the Velcro. We just didn’t have the snow last season to back over the fabric. Thanks for the tip!

My otter 650 frame doesn’t rest on the ice so when there is no snow, the wind easily flows into the shed. I couldn’t have assembled it any different, or did I do something wrong?
