Some of the edges are pretty weak my friend broke through going off of private access. From Fisherman’s Inn we walked down and noticed 7 maneaters that we saw one was big enough for an adult to fall through. I think wheelers and walking will be the only way for rest of season.
Please take caution out there that’s for sure and don’t go alone the current was flowing pretty good.

We started in 35 feet of water alot of lookers no takers. So we moved into 25 – 27 foot of water that seemed to help. There was alot of current in the deeper water so my opion is to be right outside of the channel where the water doesn’t move as much. Then again just an opion.

Check the dnr web site for the lake map. Find the weedlines on inside turns. Find the flats or bars. Bellarie bar is good spot to try. Look on the dnr site to find them. You will see shallow flats to quick drops offs. Most times right around the edges of the flats are pretty good. Hope this helps start drilling hole and find the success.

Was out there Saturday morning with buddy. Caught a lot of small crappies. They were hitting rat finkees pink head white body. Really crappie minnows and or waxies did the trick. We were on the north side in 24 foot of water. Ice was 8 inches in all the holes we drilled.

Thanks guys this helps so much. My girlfriend and I went to bayport on sunday to get some lines wet. She got 2 bites with no success in bringing anything in. Then we drove up to stillwater to get something to eat. There were some people fishing by the lift bridge but I didn’t see them catch anything. So do you bobber fish or on the bottom for saugers???? lindy rigs or just plain hooks can you guys help out at all???? The same for bobbers little jigs or plain hooks??? I know how to fish the mississippi I fish pool 4 and 5 but this water looks way different. Is it kind of the same at all????

Please do not get this wrong k, and not to be an [censored]. But does everyone need a history lesson. We the white people took there land, killed them and put them on resorvations. Then to be nice the goverment the ones who took there land gave all tribes bits and pieces of land. Yes i dont agree with all of it, but history doesn’t change. Again please dont get me wrong.
