how well does the spot lock acually work? some say it takes along time for it to lock in but then does ok. how tight of a spot would you say it can hold? thinking of getting one if it works as billed.

    Thanks, Rogan

I am trying to connect to the red male network port on my 520c to a blue female end on the lgc 2000 puck. Current setup is from red male port from 520c to a black extension cable to the lgc 3000 with a black male end. the ext. cable has two black female ends. I am trying to use the 520c in two different boats with a diffent puck in each boat.

    Thanks for any input,
    Rogan

Is it true the spot lock does a lot of moving around before it locks in, then stays real well? it would seem like a very handy tool.

Thanks to the IDO members for the advice, these ficht motors in the late 90,s and early 2000,s did have trouble according to a couple of dealers i talked to, i am going to steer clear.

    Thanks, Rogan

Great report and awesome shot of the graph. Did anyone try mud flats out in Saginaw?

Thanks Jeff, we will probably try the dam first and go from there. Never fished the big chute but might venture in there and see what we can find. A keeper once in awhile mixed in with a bunch of cigars would be ok we us.

Thanks again and i will post the results.

Buy the E-TEC, very little maintenance( 200 fewer parts than a 4 stroke) no mixing the oil and you won’t smell anything. Do yourself a favor and check them out.

Thanks for the info gentlemen, I will keep those thoughts in mind. The wingdam bite is started to heat up here on P11, also if you want some bass head to the Guttenburg dam and fish on the WI side above the float, they were taking about anything you through at them.

    Thanks and Good Luck,
    Rogan

Thanks for your $.02 Will-eye, I plan on trying on Sunday. If it works it’s worth a $1,000,000.

Dustin, could you explain how you are located and pinpointed these fish? I bought the video a while back and have had some sucess, but catching bass instead of eyes. If a guy was able to get this type of fishing down a bit better it would be a blast.

I will continue to try this method and go lighter.Down here on P11 I have been giving it a try by myself and cathing some nice largemouth( that I throw back to keep my neigbhor happy) and sheephead, but still tryig to get ol marble eye to bite. One problem I had on P4 was that my fishing buddies weren’t buying into this method seeing how we could catch fish jigging and the that we didn’t see anyone pitching to the wingdams. Why is it that you don’t see more people trying this style? It is more fun than vertical. Can’t wait till I can catch a few more this way. Thanks for the tips, Rogan

All this talk about p4 has me ready to make a trip north leaving p11 behind to check it out on Friday/Sat. Bought the mastering plastics video and thought it was great, now time to put it to use. Any good advice for a newbie would be much appreciated. Thanks, Rogan

Fished the dam on the 24th with a few small saugers mostly jigging plastic and or minnows on both sides of the river. There is a good landing in Guttenburg. Tried casting plastic to riprap but that did not produce much either.

Good Luck and keep us posted

I am looking for maps of pools 8-11 and something fairly new. There has been a lot of riprap and wingdams added the last few years. Do any ever show depth? Thanks

Dave, when you say you never made it out of the channel, are you referring to the main channel? How do you go about finding the brush. Thanks, Rogan

Anyone else see the tape? Does it give good instruction or like some others, fun to watch but you don’t learn much. If you guys like the tape I will be ordering. Great website, thanks for all the reports.
