Never tried Plano, but had budget Bowtech and Diamond Edge – just like any other bow as long as you practice a decent amount with it – you going to be just fine.
Blackout360 is really nice, using it myself currently D Hunting binocular – I’m using Vortex Diamondback 8×42, but if you can get a good deal on that Leupold – go for it. Might as well check out their line of rangefinder, those are pretty decent in my opinion.

I just bought 5 boxes of the 3” Barnes Vor-Tx expanders on gun broker last week for roughly $11 a round. Today was the first time shooting them out of my 220 and they flew quite well compared to my 3” accutips.

11$ a round sounds really expensive..

Fleet Farm had 0 slugs the other day. And 30-06 Springfield were like $46 for 20 rounds, which is crazy.

Buying deer round during(or close to) deer season is just so not worth it. Usually, I’m buying between seasons, same goes for hunting rifles I get. During season prices go up sky high and noone else anything in stock.

Winchester deer season 30-06 is my go-to. Can be a bit pricy cpr, but well worth it.

Mossberd .243 is a pretty good beginner rifle. If you son gets confident at it, it’s going to be pretty easy to transition to higher caliber hunting rifles later on.
