Yonkers! Same old same old. I stopped visiting because I contributed to this. I saw this was wrong. But still I see some want to control the conversation beyond what is relevant to the out doors. Sharing is awesome, you all walked me through many personal things and information.
Gosh! There is a lot of great people here. Bk included.

Our group Got thrown out of one bar of a nickname given. Everyone got a shot of Patrone if recited that nickname when showed. GOT! Spendy. But way better than the numbers game.

Confused season is a compromise with with Wisconsin to agree with catch rates. That’s all it is. The st.croix can handle the catch rate as they are in the summer. Open season is a wash but it negatively effects regular season fisherpersons. So were going to see how many peoole really fishing the St Croix after Feb 28 to icecout. Viscera safe ice late fall. Mn wants low catch rates.

THINK ON GRANDER SCALE. How does Amazon deal with sales and returns. Never thought about the supply chain until know. Small guy buys from the next guy up then so on. How many times does a product get handled?. Saw an order that was shipped to Tampa
that I picked up from another dealer. Jimmny then one starts adding Canada and Mexico and overseas. And to think of the scale of bigger markets than twin cities like the east coast and the west coast or Houston.

Not saying that all body shops do this though one would be surprised how many do this.
They will take a vehicle in, heavily damageged and take an general estimate for repair and submit that estimate to the insurance company. Get the OK, then order those parts. Then the nit and gritty starts. After getting those parts and after the work is done and paid for by insurance the parts not used for repair are returned to supplier for full value back to the bodyshop. See it all the time. Who pays for that scam.
Make fun of me all you want. It happens. The semantics of the scam are detailed and we’re explained to me by the suppliers that have to process the returns which inturn get paid for by the manufactures for the returns. Everyone gets paid for the over estimated vehicle. The black whole is these parts are returned are absorbed by the manufacturer. Then passed back to covering their cost by increasing their cost to manufacture parts.
Those in the body repair no how expensive these parts are at their own cost. I see the those prices at retail prices and wholesale that the body shop get everyday. Don’t get me started when a bodyshop orders parts before a claim is ok’d by the insurance companies then deemed as a totalled vehicle. Many bodyshops have contracts with wholesale dealerships to even get better prices on parts with delivery. Boy, they bitch about a restocking fee when they return parts for a totalled vehicle.
    Yep it’s a nasty business.
My trade is landscape services and Damm proud of it. This winter I took a job as parts runner for a major dealership, nowhere near the size of Park Chrysler and Jeep though, that does wholesale to supplement my time off in the winter. I get both sides from supplier to the bodyshop.
I’m just a peon when it comes to big business but I’m not stupid may be dumb though when it comes to how the real world of big business operates.
STORM CHASERS was interjected in the subject. Sadley that person doesn’t really know how far his analogy mirrors what I’m saying.
Yep,I know a family that makes millions storm chasing.

I cry when someone with an $800,000 home with a 60 to 80,000 truck and numerous toys complain about taxes. Generally just a statement. I think WE way may have to charge you more for the services we provide.

Don’t think anyone is suggesting when targeting sturgeon to use 8 test but good clarification when targeting sturgeon. The quicker the better one gets one on ice the better for the fish.
Though my experience i prefer a forgiving tip even during soft water when I target them. I don’t target them on hard ice. Just prefer fall time in the boat.

Tip; put a swivel 3ft up to minimize twist Iin the line when they circle or role. I also do this to gauge where walleye are in relation to the hole to minimize catching the jig rap on the bottom of the hole.

And some just can’t help themselves of being polticle ignorant. Always the others fault.
Funny how some complain about sustainable energy cost then come to the rescue to the company that that digs for those resources. Must be a sign that says open on both sides with one side meaning closed when it fits.

LOL! I got one of those with many others.
Everytime I hook up my propane tank to the camper I struggle to get it on and I fight my self trying to remember reverse threads or not.

Lots of nice choices out there that are inexpensive. For me it has to have strong back bone, of course. It also helps alot with a softer tip to control the runs and drag of the real with out horsing it potentially breaking the 8 test line. Though this gets spendy’er but worth it for a more enjoyable catch. I broke down this fall bought one of those noodle or was it a sweetheart. Dang that thing handled a 52 inch no problem a weak and a half ago on the st.croix.
Side note; fishing for walleye with 1 1/2 jigging rap with minnow head came up and hit on the up stroke. Dindnt know they would do that. Then again on the graph I thought it was a blob of shad going through.

    Remove pin bones.

-Shore lunch makes a specific baking breading, it’s good.
    – Poach or bake in a shallow garlic butter.

love a simple poaching method in the oven. Easy and you get the natural flavor and moist not dry or mushy. Plus keep in poached water they will stay same temp till the next round of serving.

At least if the upcoming game goes south the vikes will have a halftime show
    By someone named “Luticris”
Been a while following football. Is this new for a first play off game. Something more to be embarrassed about? Probably won’t be televised, fingers crossed. Down fall was when the league pushed fantasy football down our throats to make money for themselves. Now we have PRE GAME meant for entertaining those that have a short attention span.

We’re in a new realm. Instead of an old beater nickel and diming us to death were at a newer vehicle $100 to $1000 you to death at 30 thow to 50 thow.
Fortunately I can only afford the nickel and diming at 150000 thow.lol When all is said and done how much is one actually paying for the car after the loan is paid off. Bend over.

I wish this was posted a month ago. I would have nabbed it in a heartbeat. Ice fishing funds for the year dried up.
I had a 8×8 fold up canvas craft for twelve years. Quality and first rate product.

SNOWGEAR slip overs extra insulation with steel studs for the ice. Easy on and off. Great for Muck boots or insulated work or hunting boots. Light weight and snug when fastend. Never go back to pack boots. So versatile, even great for work, tough as nails. Freind of mine works for the railroad turned me on to these.

It will be great when the landing gets built under the new Stillwater bridge

Don’t think that’s going to happen. The power plant is being torn down starting next year I believe to make room for a county park with a rather large boat ramp. So it’s going to be a while for a new boat ramp. The power plant was donated to mn so we get to clean it up

Side note; the rail road wouldn’t give up the rights to cross the railroad for that previous location.

Ordered the forty pack 4 mm and got the 3mm. Guess I’ll have to get those zoomable eye glasses to tie them.
Anyone have suggestions on zoomable eye glasses.

Let me guess, the last series will look familiar. Maybe not, it will be a blow out or a close call against the vikes. Betting man I’m not but I wonder if I took those bets both ways how much I’d win.

At 5’8 now 177 pounds, Yonkers I shrunk. MY DRIVERS LICENSE SAYS 5’10. Last winter fat was 195. Young 56 year old that out works the young.
The answer is enjoy my trade and work my ass off. My trade is landscaping, primarily brick patios and retaining walls, hardscape. Well with the shortage of workers I do these jobs by myself. I just put my head down and do the work with a goal in mind. Just put up 14 retaining walls 18’long x 3′ tall one per day. With 4 days added to time days off tear out with a minni Extavator. At a town home association progect.
I don’t eat much other than beer and coffee and galls bringing me food.

I had to ask the client what bird it was because it did have the likings of a immature Bald Eagle but with such a broader body. A retired sconie DNR that lives down stream confirmed a his own sighting. I always thought of them migrating the Chippewa flyaway or out west.
Shoot the whooping cranes migration flew over the valley this spring in numbers. Weird year. Happens now and again just like other areas through time.
SO, thankful I was there at the right time.

Not totally on-topic but you know those times where you say “There’s never a cop around when you need one”? I was driving south on HWY 13 between Prior Lake and New Prague and there was a guy tail-gaiting me. Nothing too bad but following closer than he should – it’s a busy two lane road and hard to pass. A Scott Co Sheriff passes us going northbound; I myself was probably going a little fast. I looked in my mirror, saw the Sheriff car hang a u-ey and hit the cherries. I figured I was getting pulled over for speeding. Sure enough he worked his way between me and the car behind me. But as I pulled on to the shoulder, he stayed in the lane and kept slowing down, making the other guy slow down as well. He then reached out the window and gestured for the other guy to also pull over. So there we were – all three of us on the shoulder. After a minute the Sheriff gets out, walks up to me and say’s “Good afternoon… say just wondering, did you think that guy behind you was following you a little too close?” I said “Yeah, now that you mention it.” And the Sheriff said, “OK, that’s what I thought – I just wanted a second opinion and that’s why I pulled you both over – you’re free to go.” He then proceeded to walk back to the other guy and presumably wrote him a ticket. Best traffic stop EVER!

    Nice!
Wish some people would realize what a safe distance is. One never noes what the car ahead does or happens.

Same road, I had 3 Harleys following to close. Luckily I new they were there. When a doe and fawn popped in front of. I hit the breaks just enough for the deer an the Harleys not end up in the back of the sun. The passenger on one the Bikes drove her face into back of the driver real hard. Thats how hard the bikes had to hit their breaks. These were older riders that should know better.

CRISSPER OUR NEXT STEP IN EVALUSION.

We will call it a vacine and have the government pay for it and have a test the government pay for it if you have insurance.

I hear Canada has a moratorium on outsiders buying homes and Mexico isn’t that hot.

We have a Ford truck a Dodge truck and Chevy heavy-duty truck in front of us what would you choose?
The Chevy heavy-duty because it looks tough!

Here’s where my fearless protector used to ride…. Laughed every time….

Hear what your saying Timmy. Didn’t take pictures that often while fishing. Just to caught up in the moments of loading the boat to the the time of backing the boat in the yard in the dark at the end of the day.
The memories bring joy and tears to my eyes.
I had a fish and ski boat on a bunk trailer sat low to the ground. My Allmeta would jump in that boat before I would have that boat hooked up to the truck. On the water I’d be on the bow controlling the t moter and she would be on the back deck content watching me. Sunny warm days she would curl up under the council. Poke her head to see what I was doing then go back under. At the cabin she new when we’re going out. Open the door she be the first on the boat sitting on the rear deck. Sometimes it take a bit longer to get going. She would lay on that rear deck waiting, she just new. Oh! The memories.
