Even the cat fishing is slow. The cats have mostly spawned and spread out super shallow. Weeds, wood, docks, and bridges seemed to be hold fish. I have caught a few walleyes as well while trying for cats.
We need rain bad!!!! Some current would help cat fishing.

Keep moving till you make contact. Watch the wind; if it blows from the same direction for more than a couple of days fish the structure on the lee shore. Latly I have been expeirmenting with using to fathead minnows on one hook one dead with head ripped off and juices flowing and other alive. I think that that cats in lake become accustomed to eating live bait. And thus zone in on the the stuggling minnow. Shallow fish seemed to be more scatterd. If you find a school deeper the tend to be in a tighter school and can provide a whole evening of action.

Anywhere that produces smallmouths will produce Walleyes too. ** main lake rock struckure ** Walleyes seem to be all over but they are running small 10″-12″

    Good luck!

Goldeye??? or Mooneye???. This was my first one. I assumed that it was a goldeye since it was in dirty water. But it looks to be a Moon eye….

Well I have been stocking up on Carp gear. Boilies, Hair rigs, and corn soaked in strawberry flavorings. The next warm spell I will start fishing and will report on how I do.

I am not a dedicated bass man. But would like to contribute a spot that may be worth a visit at certian times of the year. The big point out from the 71 access on Cedar has given up some while I have been working it for those other fish with the white tip on their tails…

I wish they would put a slot limit on the chain for all game fish including crappies.

From the Vermillion up river water was still pretty clear. From the Vermillion down to as far as we went (Bay point) it’s getting dirty.

There was some bigger ice chunks in the morning and a lot of wood all day. Those little braches on the surface can turn into a big long just under the surface.

Few guys running full bore. I took it nice and easy.

I bought my reels on ebay.

Flatheads– abu-7000’s– And I have a Pen GTO for a back up. My rods I bought from Moore’s he has quality stuff marked at a fair price….
My wife uses a old zeco 808 that was used for bowfishing with a short musky rod. That set-up has worked great for flatties up to 15 pounds so far.

Channels and carp — I bought Shimano bait runners reels. For channel rods I like my Berkley glow sticks.
Carp rods I got at Sportsman’s Warehouse on clearence. They are basicly what would be called a noodle rod on the north shore for kamloops.

    Sturgeon — I use my flathead stuff…

    Eric
