    By the way, I caught this fish on an 1/8 ounce jig with a twister tail while fishing for walleyes using a light spinning rod and 8 lbs test. It took about a half hour to land it. What a blast!

    I used the ramp at Frontenac last saturday with no trouble. Water’s come down a bit since then, so you should have no trouble.

    Care to elaborate on why I shouldn’t run over 3/4 throttle? Do you have some personal experience with this motor?

    So far I have only fished from the Hay Creek area up to the dam. I will be out this weekend and it is time to branch out and start looking downriver. Does anyone have any recommendations on where to begin? Is it too early to check out the Maiden Rocks flats with cranks? How ’bout up a little further toward the head of the lake? Has anyone used the launch up around Frontenac? I know I have asked a lot of questions, but as I get more familiarized with this fishery, I promise to contribute back to the forum as well. Thanks to all for the jump start!
