I think that most of you are just spoiled by your own cooking. Yes some places are not as good but enjoy it anyhow. I have had some very good and some not so good, but I did still eat it and got filled up. This may sound dumb but I do sickly catch and release. Get all my fish from the store.

Ran out of gulp last season. Now the shelves are full so I hopefully now have a season supply. Have a stock pile in my basement of non perishables. It is nice to go there shopping when run out of something. Then restock when it goes on sale.could go a couple months without needing a store.

Several years back, a radio call in asked the DNA if a scope was legal for muzzle loader deer season. At that time the answer was no. The caller then asked how he was supposed to be able to see a deer without one.

Hard to lose your keys or fob if placed in your pants pocket. Do not understand why you would let them or your phone lay where they can go down a hole.

I miss the old cartoons and the Carol Burnet show was always good for a few laughs.

Enjoying the different views as my Lowrance flasher died last year. No more stocking/Carring spare lantern batteries. From all the comments, looking at a vexlar 18. Just something simple to use.

It’s not how fast you get there, it’s getting there that counts.

So we wear a mask when out and around people. What is wrong from helping others. You could be one of the people who show no symptoms. Or maybe like me, your one of the people it affects badly. Why not try to help fellow citizens instead of worry about your rights being hurt. Yes it may run its course and be no more problem, but then again it could be around for a long time. I can still go fishing and still buy bait. Just try to stay healthy and use comments sense.

No, if I do not like topic then I do not have to read/look at it or if do not like responses then leave it.

Company I worked for went to no smoking policy. This included home and company vehicles. Since most of my smoking was when driving,I started to eat cheetos. This was only when driving. Just something to break the urge to light up. It worked and went cold turkey now for over twenty years. I did go through many bags of cheetos though.

Had a 66 cornet 440. Good thing gas was cheap then as I could not take father-in-law home without stopping for refill. It was only 160 miles. Sure do miss it.

When my youngest wanted to play hockey, we saidfine. Then we find out that they could only get practice ice time at 6 am or earlier. Then get home for breakfast and school. Then teachers wonder why they fall asleep in school. The older you get the better ice time you get. We dropped the hockey. Also wonder why kids no longer get together to just play ball or find some ice to just skate without it having to be an organised.

Sitting hear and reading about all the different plans has made me realize a few things. First was that 15+ years ago I planned on retiring at 62. At 61 the company said two things. They will no longer have company pension plan and second also no longer offer insurance to retirees. This meant that I would now have to work longer and start stuffing a 401. Was planning on company pension but that hit cost a big hit. What I have learned is that I should have had 401 of my own started at a early age. Also that plans change and you will have to adjust them. Still I am enjoying retirement and able to do most things that we want to. Fish are still be caught.

Been retired for several years. Never bored. During warm weather it is fishing for a couple hours. Then we go somewhere to walk around. Sit in screen house and watch the grass grow. In cold it much same except for watching grass grow then snow drifts. It also helps to have some other hobbies to keep busy. Now when roads/weather is bad, stay home and relax.
    Retiring is great.

Best thing to do is start your 401 as soon as you go to work. Thought company pension plan was great. Company said 5 years before retiring that they would no longer have pension and everyone would switch to 401. This hit caused a 525 dollar a month hit and not in my favor. Start saving.

Walked out at 65 as was told to now. Which was not a problem as was planning that anyhow. The real kicker was that two years prior, company no longer offering insurance to retirees and that put a big hurt in plans. Been 8 years and we are having fun and I can go fishing the red all summer with only a ten minute travel. Best advice is start putting money away asap and do not depend on company to give any bunnies when done.

What worries me is that these cabins are being rented out without users knowing if they are safe. Water, elect, plumbing things should meet codes for renting. Are the owners paying extra for insurance to cover what partners destroy? I think this is good and should make for safer rentals.

Sorry eelpout, My boss made me sell/get rid of all ice fish stuff because “you are to darn old” to be walking on ice.

I had the skies evenly spaced on it. I never drove on ice as I always thought that if I could not walk it, then had no business being there. The extra skies did not effect weight and actually improved use in deeper snow. Used bunny to hold portable, auger and 2 plastic tub to hold everything.

When I first built my smitty, I used 2 skies from the thrift store. It pulled very easy except when I was along some ruts. I then added 2 more skies and had no more problems with ruts. It pulled very easy anywhere except for when no snow or ice. It can be built to fit whatever you want to haul or to fir whatever you want to haul it with. Four skies and some scrap lumber cost me about eight dollars.

Sorry, I miss spoke. Not playing with instead of using all the functions to which looks best. Yes poking several holes then looking to see which has a fish, then quick drilling second hole for camera so you can watch fish take the bate you put next to its mouth. Then also mark with GPS so that next week you can drill hole in same spot and hope the fish have not moved? Old fashioned and just think we have gone overboard with all the electrics.

What ever happened to just looking at a lake map and go fishing. Yes I am old fasion, but to me all of these new electrics are just fancy toys. You spend more time playing/adjusting than you do with hooks in the wate. Are you out there to catch fish or to snag them using the electrics? Isn’t the fun trying outwit the fish and trying to find them?

Started fishing and hunting in WI around 1963. Have stopped hunting but still fish winter and summer. Have moved to MN and still fish. Never been stopped or checked. Did see a CO once in MN. But he never came around. Once on MN. ND border, a city police officer asked if I had license but did not look at it.

Being on call 24×7 for more than 20 years and having either pagers or cell phone or both could be distracting while driving. Now being retired, I have no problem with leaving phone at home. Amazing how much more peaceful it is while traveling. This is what voice mail is for. The new screens in the new vehicles is far more distracting as it requires you to look down and away from the road and all the new hands free driving will only make you a worse driver when you depend on it in a car without.

96 jeep started fine after being outside in fargo. Bad part is closed the dog door to keep draft down. Now 2 dogs are trained to ask me to let them out even though thier door is now open. Have to retrain them.

Sure make it legal, then trust the person with your back in a foxhole. Get on the airplane with a smoking pilot, or engine mech. Yes I strongly dislike the idea of making it legal. Make punishment harsher for user and seller.
