Great fight. What gear did you catch that on? Seemed like really light tackle.

Thanks for posting. That kayak fishing looks
    like a hoot.
Do you eat those things that look like octopus?

They hit the lure that you drag on the bottom
and let go in the net.

I’ll be honest I’ve never heard of these things. I’d love to see a video on cleaning and preparing them. They look rather disgusting but I’m sure like most fresh foods they are great if prepared correctly.

    Thanks for the videos.

Tks mate…they wonderfull to eat…one of ours better plates. A long time ago i made a video showing how to cleaning and preparing…Take a look…

I caught a 2″ squid once and I refused to handle it because I was afraid it would bite me with it’s beak lol

Now I don’t feel like such a wuss and validated.

If you handle from behind they never bite. I was sleeping…lololol

Interesting, not so sure I would be dangling my bare feet in the water though with what may be lurking nearby.

Its rare in this waters to see sahrks or other creatures like that, but yes, its a stupid risk…lol

    Thanks for the comments.
I wil put a picture of the setup…but that piece is a copper cable with 0,4 meters…its cover with Shrink Sleeve ( i think thats the name), and attached to
swiveler for the lure… and stuck in the camera suport…
Here the picture.. The suport base also have is own weight , so a slow speed it stays on the botton…

These are fascinating creatures. Related to squid and octopus in the Mollusk family, Cephalopod division and not really a fish as the name suggests. They can change colors very quickly and control what parts of the body they change.
