I have both GHG and BigFoot fullbodies. GHG has their pluses like flocked heads and paint scheme but the durability of them does not compare to the BigFoots IMHO. The bases on the GHG are the main draw back IMO. So my choice is the bigfoots over the ghg since I don’t want to have to baby them, but a few GHG in the spread liven it up.

Was out on the Rock yest. morning and this afternoon. Caught a bunch of little smallies (one decent one around 16″ today), a smaller eye, a sauger, and even a little muskie today! First muskie of the year for me. Was using little crappie jigs in about 3 fow. And no carp or drum for once! Was nice to get out and actually catch some GAME fish! All CPR’d

May 25, 2005 at 1:59 am #364735Thanks guys for the help and tips. I tried last night with the same old baits with no luck. And tonight I used some smelt like mentioned but that also got me no where. I’ll keep trying to connect with them but it is just nice to see these hogs.
Thanks for all the great ifo and tips everyone!
April 9, 2005 at 1:52 am #355829Thanks guys for the tips. I tried today over by potosi but we had no luck. Saw some carp jumping but that was it.
Thanks.
March 29, 2005 at 8:52 pm #353210Thanks for the info. I fished more by the chem. plant. I went down to where the sand gravel bar is by cedar crest and it’s 3′ deep, I knew it was there though. Was checking out the waterfowl where the creek dumps into the river. I haven’t spoted any holes between the bridge and the launch and the current is kind of strong to be fishing main stream anyway. I live by Rockport Park so keep me posted on the fishing as I am back to school now. Good luck to you also.
March 28, 2005 at 10:43 pm #352957I was in a dark green 14’Lund with an Evinrude motor by myself. Where you out there also?
March 27, 2005 at 3:10 am #352594Was out this evening south of Janesville. Got into some backwater and tried minnows and jig/minnow. Nothing… Did see lots of geese and some divers. Was nice to get out.
March 8, 2005 at 4:12 am #347994I agree about to many yahoo’s at the dams. I usually try to get away from them as much as possible. Haven’t been home for a while…how high is the Rock?? Plan on taking the boat out later this month if the water isn’t too high.
Thanks.
January 11, 2005 at 7:19 pm #336034I used some light flexible plastic for my windows and then made a pull down blind for them. I also made this sled to haul my CLAM works excellent. Also don’t have to worry about wearing out the bottom when towing it with a sled. Here’s a few pics. It is real light and works well. I used a spade bit to make holes to take away some weight and so I can rope my stuff down securly.
January 10, 2005 at 10:58 pm #335884Good to hear you got it! I ended up putting windows where my logos were. Came out REAL nice, I like it more this way. How’s the new model compare to the old one???
January 10, 2005 at 2:39 pm #335773You are right, I just heard last night about the LOW temps. on the news!
Thanks, I may need all the luck I can get!December 29, 2004 at 4:38 pm #333847Well they got back to me and said the same about sending me a new one! I can’t believe thier service is this good, can’t beat it.
December 29, 2004 at 3:57 pm #333836I emailed them yesterday and am waiting for a resonse, here’s a pic. of my Clam. I would like to know if yours looked the same??? I believe they changed their style a little bit according to their site.
Thanks.
December 29, 2004 at 1:46 am #333780C&R- What year was your Clam? Is your Logo on the door unlike the new Clam 2000 that have it on the side according to their site…http://www.the-clam.com/2000.html
I have the same problem. Mine was bought new in Nov.’03 I think (I bought it slightly used) Let us know if you get a new one, I don’t want extra holes in it!! I’ll check it out to see if they will cover mine.
Thanks! and let us know!!
December 12, 2004 at 8:53 pm #331386My question is why do they cost so much!!?? I have an Eagle Ultra Classic that I take off the boat and use it in flasher mode. And this unit does it all and was only about $200. So why is this not as good as a vex. or is it???
Thanks.
December 10, 2004 at 6:45 pm #331142If anyone want to ice fish Kosh. sometime and doesn’t mind an extra person let me know. I’m off from college until the 20th of January I think. I have a 2 man clam, 6 tip ups, 3 jig poles and snomobile with studs. Haven’t had the sled out in 2 yrs. do to the lack of snow but it should work fine. I only have a hand auger though, looking at upgrading if the right deal comes my way.
December 2, 2004 at 7:53 pm #330037Okay thanks for the info. guys. Nice eye!! I’ll be sure to take a few pics. when i’m out and about. Kosh. sounds kind of like a hard/ dangerous place to fish through the ice. I have a snomobile with studs but with the drastic change in ice conditions may Delevan be a better place for me? I’ve fished Delevan before but was thinking Kosh. was better for eyes?? I’ve hunted Kosh. so I really know how shallow it gets. I just don’t want to get my self in any trouble out there.
Thanks,
SteveDecember 2, 2004 at 5:31 am #329952New to the forums so not sure this will work. Koshkonong usually any good for eyes through the ice? I’m from Janesville and will be home for winter break. Plan on hitting a few lakes hard and don’t know if Kosh. is worth trying since it’s so big and shallow. I’ve never really fished it before, usually fish the rock in Janesville.
Any tips or pointers would be appreciated. Thanks,
Steve
